Looking over the previous posts, I can safetly say that there are no wrong answers when it comes to which class to pick.

I see an equal number of Warriors, Rouges, and Spell Caster Varients so thats good to know that RPG's don't have a broken system ^_^

When it's a solo game, mage with some basic talents in swords(see Gandalf as a reference, only I use the most powerful death dealing magic possible).

In multiplayer games, fighter all the way. With a good mix of tanking and some dps, fighters often feel like the most fun and varying class.Rogues just attack from behind and hope for critical hits, healers heal and dps mages just fling spells as fast as possible.

I change all the time. Like, in Morrowind, my first character was your average battlemage, specialising in Light Armour, Destruction and Longswords. This was my first playthrough, I finihsed the main quest with that guy.
Two years later, I reinstalled Morrowind and made another battlemage. It was SO FUCKING BORING. I got to level 30 or so then just gave up because there was nothing special happening.
I made a third character just after I got Tribunal and Bloodmoon, he was a Nord specialising in Heavy Armour and Blunt Weapon, and by level 5 I could already kill those fucking annoying goblins in the Mournhold sewers. I downloaded Tamriel Rebuilt by about level 8, then I had a quick look around with my Nord, and decided to start a new character that was completely different to play almost entirely on the mainland.
I made a Breton specialising in Unarmoared, Athletics, Short Blade and Restoration. Basically the most underpowered Cleric ever, yet it's somehow a hell of a lot more fun than my last 3 characters. I'm level 9 at the moment, and I can't imagine making a new character anytime soon.

Variety is the spice of life, it would seem.

People don't know whether to stay at a distance or come up close. Except for the rogues who have already pick pocketed you and their party members and have run off.
Is this an insult or compliment?
Neither really, more of a general statement about rogues. And they can take it as both depending on how they view the class, I guess.

Ususally rogue-ish characters, like bards, assassins, and thieves; occassionally I'll be a clecic as well. I like classes that support a group rather than a "glory" class like fighters, barbarians, paladins, and even wizards; classes that could stand combat on their own if they really needed to. I find that players in my group who choose these classes are very egotistical. (I play D&D regularly.)

Thats a good way to look at it, course I prefer being a spell caster, I'm targeting units that they are targeting as suport

Is that a Retorical question or are you really asking, because I don't know, I haven't played it, I know you can do a lot in the game I just haven't played it so I couldn't say

I'm really asking. I've read the praise it gets on the escapist and since a new one is coming out soon I just broke down and got it.

Well from what I can tell its good because it allows a lot of options in a game, like Stealth, Shooting, Talking, or Chello playing (I'm a Yahtzee fan, See Alpha Protocol Review for details) either way I think the new game should be good

the noble warrior, or the tame berserker, rather having nobility in it then being the one setting villagers on fire
