mostly a pc gaming house heer. we have 4 gaming pc's all overclocked. the lowest spec one has a q6600 @ 3GHz and a ati 4870. there also a n64 in the living room but it hasnt been conected in over a year and also a wii in the loft somewhere.
We have all three and 2 PSPs, a DS, a Nintendo 64, and 2 PS2s.
But the Nintendo 64 gets more love than the Wii. In fact the Wii hasn't been turned on in over 4 months... No new games for it in so much longer...
I have a Wii and a gaming pc. There are only two gamers in our house. The only games my dad plays are on the Wii (Endless Ocean 2, Grand Slam Tennis), though he played a game in Starcraft two days ago. I play mostly on my pc, though sometimes I play on the Wii for certain games (NMH, NMH2, Madworld, LoZ:TP, LoZ:OoT and MM, and most recently Red Steel 2).
We have a PS3 in addition we also have:
SNES, Gameboy color, Gameboy Advanced, PSOne, PS2, PSP, DS, N64 Gameboy advanced SP, 2xPC's, XBox and Gamecube, and we play all of them, its just that, at the moment the PS3 is getting more playtime.
Well given that 5 adults live in the house (including me):
3 x 360 (at least one is currently broken down and waiting for repair)
4 x MacBooks (two white ones, two of those aluminium ones) all used for WoW among other things
5 x Gaming PCs. One each but that is sort of how we met so not surprising.
2 x Ps2
Gamecube
Snes
Nes
Xbox
5 x DS of various versions
1 PSP
1 Wii
N64
Megadrive
And knocking about somewhere but not recently plugged in or tested some game boards from old cabinet arcade games, one of which I believe is Gauntlet or Gauntlet 2
I imagine we will get round to a PS3. Every one of us is a keen avid gamer - 3 of the 5 us having played games for at least 30 years each.
I hold that to be separate from the common or garden home/office PC, if I don't sound like too much of a cock.
We had a PS2 last gen, but after I saw the price of a PS3, I thought I might as well go with my PC- I already had a load of games I could get working, and the laptop I had for net surfing was on its last legs.
Then after a few upgrades, my little brother built one with some new parts and the old ones from mine (since I'd bought a bit cheaper than I should have, upgrade time came a lot sooner than it would have normally).
I've got a PS3, a PS2, a PSP , a DS and a commodore 64 in the house. All but the C64 are in use.
Me and my brother collectivly own the PS2 and 3, I own the PSP and my little sister owns the DS, but I don't think that she plays it that often, My brother and I are the real gamers in the house, me moreso. We got a PS2 back when it was really the best and obvious choice of console but we never really decided on getting a PS3 over an xbox... we wanted a current gen console and we just got a PS3 without even mentioning the idea of an xbox...
