Air bending, since both the basic and advanced forms can be effectively utilized both as a form of meditation and battle purposes, not that it'd necessarily be battle-oriented.

Earth bending looks so cool if you ask me. And besides earth is all around you the ground, the sea floor, even lava is earth albeit super heated. So in my opinion earth is the most versatile and abundant thing you can bend. Besides air, but that is lame.

This. Earth is just the coolest looking and probably the most practical and abundant of the elements. Earth armor, flying rock platform, rock wall, and the simple rock to the face (at supersonic speed of course)

Fire or air... Fire or air...

Air would be the most practical by far, but fire is so much cooler. I mean hotter.

If you could find the natural resonance of human bones I don't think sound would ever lose. If you got into a fight you could crack him there and then.

But I also like the idea of using small amounts of electricity to hit key nerves and make your opponent completely spaz out. Or sending massive globules of plasma at the nearest government helicopter.
