Hoarder of Things.

I have way too many games, but there's no way in Hell I'm returning them. Besides, Gamespot is cheap.

Right now I'm a gener shut in. My xbox died on my and my computer can only handle RTS's and the only the older ones. So steam and GOG has been a godsend of lately.

I'm a combo of Game Connoisseur and Hoarder of Things. I have a lot of systems and a lot of games, but I only get the best and I like pulling out the old stuff once in a while.

It's basically someone who has good taste in something and often partakes in whatever they feel is very qualitative. And thanks.

Game Connoisseur, I tend to do a fair bit of research before purchasing games and I do have a decent collection of old classic games sitting on my shelf. However, I haven't been into gaming as I used to be.

Mixture of Hoarder and Infinite Budget Wonder, in so far as I pre-order regularly, often get Collector's Editions if I think they're good value, but I also buy on impulse if I see things on sale (Steam and GOG are the biggest culprits here, Steam informs me that I have 80+ games from them alone) and never sell old games. Well, I did sell Beast Wars for the Playstation, which I regret nowadays, seeing as I only got like 4 quid for it.

Also I have no job, I'm a student. But as I'm a Game Design student, spending some of my student loan on games is pretty much a requirement. For research purposes, of course.

I buy games, race through them and trade them in/keep the ones I love.

So I fit into a few category's there.

Aren't all we consider the games that we love to play top quality products? Quality is subjective.

A mix of Infinite Budget Wonder and Hoarder of Things. I buy crap all the time if it looks like it might be pretty good, and I'll be damned if I ever get rid of them. I only did that once and I regretted it so much that I went back into the shop a few days later to get the game back, only to discover that they'd already sold the game. I will find another copy of you TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

To be fair though, the above 2 descriptors of my gaming buying habits applies to everything I buy. CDs, anime, manga, books, Warhammer Fantasy & 40k. My infinite budget isn't really all that infinite when all those various things come into play. Hell, some months I've bought so much crap that I'm lucky to be able to scrape together enough money for petrol so I can get to my job.

I'd say I'm a mix of Infinite Budget Wonder and Hoarder of Things. I'll go with IBW simply because IBW applies directly to my gaming habits, whereas Hoarder applies to my life in general.

Game Connoisseur. I can always tell how a game is going to turn out. I guess it could be partly prejudice, as i will NOT play ANY jrpgs EVER... they SUCK. (here is where im sort of a genre shut-in) I'll only buy a game if the developers give me a reason to buy the game. If i don't like what they do, I won't buy it. Sometime's ill torrent it or something but usually its more trouble than it's worth. I bought Fallout 3 because I really liked it. I had played it before, and thought it was loads of fun. I got Dragon Age as a gift, and thought it was great, so i think BioWare deserved the money they got. However, there are so many games that are just plain trash, and they only get money because thats the only legal way to obtain the game. There are also examples of other games that fit both, such as Assassin's Creed 2. I thought it was a good game, but Ubisoft really needs to lay the fuck off of their DRM.

TL;DR: Some of a few, but mostly Game Connoisseur.

I'm a hoarder. I WILL NOT sell a game unless I absolutely despise it. I usually make fairly good choices, but even bad games I usually keep. Even if I've put 400 hours in a game, I still keep it in fear that I'll want it some day.

Definite hoarder. I have a ton of games I know I will never actually play, simply because I don't have time. I pick up the game on the theory that if I DID have a lot more time, it'd be something I might be interested in playing.

huge games list on steam, not much elsewhere and not much out of the FPS & RTS genre (i will adventure out sometimes, i enjoyed star wars The force unleased, eufloria, and osmos), dont like consoles much (PS3 & Xbox360). I marvel at my ability, through steam and high speed internet, to see, buy, download, install, and play a game in under 15 min (30 min for those really massive games (like Star wars the force unleased took ~40 due to the fact that it is 25GB, yes, 25GB, 25 ****ING GB)
show me a massive game pack for $50 that has at least 3 games i would like to try and it is mine, along with 20 of its runty children (THQ complete pack)
i try to avoid paying full for a game if i can help it, but if its a game im excited about (fallout new vegas) ill pay full
course, i also put just as much $ into my computer, liquid cooled quad core, GTX480, raid 5, windows 7 x64, i want my games smooth and pretty (had to get the 480 over the 460 cuz metro 2033 w/ dx11 was eating up all the memory on the 460), course, some of that i got free (the 3 HDD for raid 5 from my father, windows 7 from my school)

i have no idea how to classify what i am

My limited budget has forced me to be a bit of a connoisseur, but if I had my way I'd be more of a cross between an infinite budget wonder and a speedster.
