My nan whose 84 years old saw Dick Van Dyke on TV and proclaimed him to be "so dreamy", I was in hysterics.

If I was so gay or a lady then I'd have to go for Legolas, even if I swapped lifestyles the Elven thing would still stir my heart.

Even if I wasn't gay and I got chatted up by either of these guys I'd go home with them.

Yeah, but the difference is that no one's been saying that men only go out with brainless twats who will use them time and time again and who will screw around with anything that breathes for x amount of time because men are too naive to realize that and obviously all men only go out with that type of women because they are the same blob of an entity.

There are all types of people and all types of preferences and that applies to both gender so generalizing like you have three psychology degrees (you as in, not you in particular) does no good and it usually just pisses off the targeted subjects.

It just seems like a fact that EVERY single girl I know always goes for a jerk, while I'm always stuck in the "friend-zone".

Honestly I'm not gay. I do not feel any inclinations toward the male sex at all. I could see myself spending a prolonged period of time with someone of the same sex but not in a sexual manner. Above all else though? Well personality comes first. I have fat friends, I have skinny friends, I have purple friends, I have white friends, I have yellow friends. What comes first is whether or not I have to blow out my ear drums and claw out my eyes from listening to them go on.

Women are grouped together by a lot of things yes, but their preference towards jerks is not one of them. That's all I'm saying.

The 'bad boy' thing is one I've never understood.
I never went out with one. My friends didn't either as far as I'm concerned. When we talk about boys, we don't include asshole into desired traits. Men are the only ones who seem to constantly slap that one on for women.

Anyway, I seem unnecessarily aggressive right now, I didn't really count on turning this into a debate or whatever.

I like the sweet, cute, geeky-nerdy guy, or like I mentioned before, the "pretty" feminine type, but not the flamers, which annoy the piss out of me. I can't stand stars or the "jocks" who I'd end up wanting to sock in the face.

from experience, it's usually venting frustration over their own inability to relate to girls, or to be appealing or confident enough to get one. Sadly it's a phase for a lot of gamers.
