Poll: What Kind of Pokemon Trainer are You?

simple enough question, asides from beating the gyms and getting the badges, how do you play pokemon? here's your refference guide,

Catcher- gotta catch 'em all!
Breeder- breed pokemon to create baby pokemon with moves they wouldn't normally be able to learn
Trader- those who embrace the co-op aspect of pokemon
Battler- just live to beat the league
Coordinator- those who miss the good ole contests

personally, i'm a pokemon breeder, why just yesterday i hatched a larvitar that knew outrage and an elekid that knew cross chop, i don't know what it is about breeding, i just love it ^_^ oh and one more thing, if you don't play pokemon and you didn't gather this from the title, this isn't the thread for you, find another thread and don't troll, ok?

technically... i'm just a trainer... i build pokemon with the best setup possible... optimum movepools, nature, ability, and hold item. i also build my team to compliment each other... cover their weaknesses, and enhance their strengths. closest in your list to that is Breeder... so i picked that...

and face it... a Jolteon with Magnet rise (Jolteon egg-move)... is damn awesome...

I'm a Catcher, Battler and Trainer. I catch everything I can, I battle everyone I can and I like to make sure my team is properly balanced and trained equally. It means I have to grind, but that doesn't really bother me.

I tried to get into the whole Breeder thing, but I didn't have the patience or the drive to bother, but kudos to you if you can do it.

I was breeding a team...then got bored, so i'm currently a normal trainer training some of his weak pokemon.

However that was like...months ago, i have to many games coming out to even comprehend playing Pokemon again...yet.

Battler. I catch three or four core Pokemon, and make them the meanest, baddest motherfuckers this side of the Silver Mountain. Then I go and beat the shit out of anyone who has the balls/lack of brains to say that they're anything otherwise.

I'm definitely a battler. I usually just catch whichever six pokemon I want then spend the rest of the game training them to be the most badass motherfuckers in the region. Most of the time I don't have anyone to trade with, and breeding is a pain in the ass, so training is pretty much my only option.

Mostly a "battler", since I have no way of trading to get the pokemon I want. I do, though, catch every pokemon variant that I see.

I pick one or two Pokemon, usually my starter, and just make it a point to battle absolutely everyone in the game using only that pokemon. I don't care if the type I'm facing has the advantage, I shall win by moves and power. I only carry other pokemon for the HMs and the incredibly unlikely case where my main faints by some lucky crit.

I'm a battler. Over the course of the game, I set up the team that I want and make sure their weaknesses are made up by another's resistances. Then I have them fight through the Pokemon League.

That's what I love about the Pokemon games. You catch the Pokemon you like, go on an epic journey with them, help them grow more and become more powerful, and form an awesome team strong enough for the Pokemon League.

I'm a catcher and battler. After I finish the story, I try to get every pokemon that I can in the respective generation.
While doing that, I also train my pokemon and let them fight against my friends.

well i train one of every type, and then i just catch everything after i got the pkmn league.

I'm a breeder/battler hybrid. I hatched my entire team, with the exception of my PorygonZ. Since training from Lv.1 means that their stats will be higher than if they're caught in the wild, it makes a better battler. And I've got a damn good team on HeartGold.
