I started on medium, easy was just too easy. Now I play on expert and I wish that some songs were harder.

I don't play enough GH, I prefer Rockband. But, I started on Medium and within a month was playing Expert.

There's no option for me. Started on Easy (GH1), had moved up to Hard by GH2, and by 80's edition was on Expert. Then GH3 came around and informed me that I was going to have to go back to Hard in career mode for Guitar Hero games, because they would have at least one ridiculously hard song in the main list (grr, Raining Blood)...

I started on easy on GH2, but never got to expert. Then I bought Rock Band and started on Expert. Then I went back to GH to see if I've gotten better and I have.

Started with Guitar Hero 2 on easy, but worked my way up to expert (well... most expert songs anyway) which took fucking ages. It didn't help that my wife instantly became a god at the game who could crush me in a VS battle with her on expert and me on easy, but I'm getting better.

I started on Medium. I have this rule about games that unless the choice is between 'Normal', and 'LOL Have fun dying over and over', I never play through my 1st time on the easiest difficulty.

Medium for me, but it was a ***** to go from that to hard on GH 3 of all things. And thus,I bring the spark of life back to this topic.

A long long time ago I tried it on medium and like, really failed for some reason.

Then more recently, I started it on expert and it was pretty damn easy (after playing Stepmania and such, it was very..similar to other rhythm games.)

So I guess when I actually started playing, to start you know, doing the campaign/progress, I started on expert, and yeah, I have my share of full combos and 5 starred everything in the campaign except like 2 songs (lol raining blood/one)

I started on Medium...took me about a week to move on to Hard. The jump to Expert took about a day or two.

I'll stick to learning my real guitar thank you. I've tried the game and found it incredibly dull, and I don't play games to be bored.

I started on Easy, worked my way up to Medium, worked my way up to Hard, and am currently working (very slowly) on Expert.

My favorite song is Lay Down (GH3), the second song I ever tried, the first one I completed on both Medium and Hard, and so far the only song I've done on Expert.

And frankly, I'd love to see some Nightwish in GH games.

My first pretend-plastic-guitar-game was GHIII, I started on easy, then moved on to medium which wasn't too bad, then moved up to hard which was an absolute *****. I swear to god, learning to play the real guitar was easier than learning to play GHIII on hard, it just seemed such an insane jump from medium. Of course, looking back on it hard is actually piss easy so I don't know what I'm complaining about.

Expert. I play piano and had some DDR experience so pushing buttons to match/replicate sound was already something I was familiar with.

Also, yay for posting in a thread started in March.
