for me then, being an asari could be interesting ... long lived, strong biotic power, able to use most weapons (read: asari commando units). and given that i don't ever recall seeing a male asari ... well, you get the implication.

Thats becuse there is no male Asari. The Asari have the ability to mate with every race in the galaxy and produce offspring from it, the offspring would be Asari though no matter what.

I was thinking asari (but human female would be cool too) adept (love the biotics), and I have Paragon tendencies.
Not that much into MMOs, but a Mass Effect MMO could be neat (although we know it won't be happening, since they're busy working on "The Old Republic" for now).

I'de rather be Turian because:
Krogans are hated, imputant and are usually in danger of being killed by an old enemy.
Humans are hated and not trusted.
Quarians have to live as nomads on shitty ships while also not being trusted.
Salarians, while awesome, live short lives.
I wouldn't mind being Asari, actually.
Geth are always attacked and thought to be evil(with my choices in ME2, they'll hopefully be trusted, hell, I hope the galaxy makes alliances with them).
Elcor are slow and people think they're stupid.
Drell, although one of the awesomest species ever, are either bound to dry, usually dangerous worlds, or contract a syndrome which will end your life sooner if you live on a humid world.

I would try different races and skill sets but some things just are what they are.

I am a human, therefore the most reasonable choice is human. Given how insignificant the differences seem to be (other than protien toxicity between human/asari and quarian/turian products), I suspect it really wouldn't matter much in the long run.

Well, even though I'm a guy, I'd probably gravitate more towards an Asari. Maybe a Salarian. I just like avoiding violence if I can, but I also like having an ace-in-the-hole, like Asaris' bad-ass Biotics.
