You didn't ask what class should you play as next. You ask what class was the most fun. You should have just said so in your title. I'm trying to figure out why you are missing Vanguard, and Infiltrator.
You are the dipshit that ask a question on who is your favorite class. You should have ask which class should I have played next. Would have made more since.

Infiltrator and Vanguard are the best classes, and I almost voted solider because that was my third favourite, but if you just played infiltrator they are awfully similar and so adept would be a nice change. Sucks that adepts' weapons suck though.
You didn't have a problem with running out of ammo? That was my problem trying to play through on Insanity. But then again I have a really shitty TV and I can't always see the thermal clips lying on the ground.
I used the Viper, Eviscerator, Rev and Carnifex, never had muchtrouble with ammo.
Except for the two pretoreans, I ran clean out of bullets afew times fighting those blessed things, but they must count as the most unfair enemy in video game history. Except for those I never had any trouble, weapon upgrades really helped though (and Kasumi's frag grenade power).
AGREED on the praetorians! If there's a special way to take them out, I haven't figured it out besides shower with bullets, incinerate, incinerate, rinse, repeat. I found myself having to abuse adrenaline rush just to make it through most firefights. Pop out, adrenaline rush, nail baddie in the face, hide behind cover. It really kind of broke the game for me.
Ah yes ''Preatorians''
The 'stealth' ability of infiltrator is like, invaluable when fighting those things. Attack until it closes on you, stealth then peg it to another side of the room, repeat :<.
Or maybe I'm just a coward
i'm in the same position, i did vanguard, infiltrator and soldier in ME1 (i hated that you could not switch class when doing a second play through with the same character for increased difficulty possibilities) and i started one as adept but in ME1 the cooldown times for the powers were a bit too long for my taste. i have tried adept in M2 and it seems to be much better now.
playing as a soldier is cool but i see it as a waste to play the same way most other games are played when you have so many fresh and interesting classes to choose from in this game. the next thing i'm going to try out on insane is probably sentinel
I just beat Mass effect 2 for the second time on a paragon playthrough, but half my crew got liquified, so I'm going to correct that by playing it again. So, I've played through as an infiltrator and a Vanguard now, what class would be the most fun/different to play through again?
Sentinel all the way, exploding armor and the ability to pelt your enemies against the wall. All I need.Something for every occasion.

No Infiltrator or Vanguard: How can you ask your question without including the infiltrator and vanguard?! Regardless of whether you've played as them or not, if you ask a question like you did about which class is fun to play, you should include all classes , not just the ones you haven't used yet.
I feel sad at the attitude taken in the poll and initial post, but I shall answer anyway: Soldier. Why? Violence solves things better in space, apparently.
I intend no disrespect to the initial poster with my attitude taken in answering this question. I am only giving my input and opinion on the question and intend it to be taken in reference to the question, rather than in reference to the asker.

I understand the question, but I've actually played several runs as infiltrator rather than the other classes. I played vanguard, and found it was really fun. Soldier is good.
Also, thanks for the compliment about the disclaimer. A little bit of politeness never hurt anyone ^.^
I can't remember what I used. For some reason my old X Box HD wouldn't load my Mass Effect 1 game, so I had to use a new character (BLAST!). I know my original was a soldier, and I used a soldier on ME2. I liked the second class I tried better though, I think it was the one with a cross between biotic abilities and guns. Sentinel or some such name. Had reave or some power... yeah anyways I can't remember exactly.
You know, I'm buying both games again soon so I can do a proper playthrough with my ME1 character. Yeah there is the perfect paths through everything, but the fun is doing what I would do, thus the only proper way is to do it all the way I really would and if a crew member dies then tough.
Soldier. I never play as a support class (mage/medic/etc).
Titan quest was actually only game where i played as a mage, but that was only because in that game, mages are like demigods. You can simply walk around and weaker enemies die only by getting close to you and you don't have to do anything.
Playing an engineer means thinking one step ahead and trying to use your powers to push creatures out of hiding. You can't survive (usually) a full frontal assault; you need to be using a turret to push someone out of hiding, evaporate their shields with an overload, and then their armour with an incinerate. The good thing is that Engineers have all the tools you need. They may not be flashy, but the Engineer is amazingly effective.
Oh, unless you run up against Barriers. Barriers are a pain for engineers, yes.
infiltrator is the one I like most.
engineer isnt bad either I tried soldier and sentinal and wasnt too thrilled never bothered with adept of vanguard.
as for most fun ... Id recommend anythign that plays significantly different than the ones you allready tried.
Went with the Cheater.
The whole "class" business was kinda... different with me. I am a completely unashamed and uncaring cheater. I will, without the tiniest flicker of doubt, start out by downloading trainers, looking up cheats, and using mods. Without ever having played the game first. Not because I don't have the skills to play otherwise, or because I find it fun (well I do, but that's not the main reason). I think I just want to compensate for my rather pathetic life by going on a crazy power trip in video games whenever allowed (it usually is). Not omnicidal, just regular crazy.
So, I had infinite ammo, every weapon unlocked and usable by every class (with the exception of SMGs, as they were replaced by the assault rifles), max all skills and insta-recharge powers (the enemies had that too, though - kind of irritating on Insanity with Harbinger. he still didn't stand a chance though) and swatted everything out of my way like a biotic freight train of Hax.
...where was I going again? Oh right. I think the ability to fire myself at enemies at light speed was pretty fun. So Vanguard it is.
