I cannot force myself to become interested in Pacific Rim. It does absolutely nothing for me.

I understand why a lot of people are incredibly psyched about it, but only in the sense that I understand that this is something a lot of people like that I can't stand. It's certainly the right time for the movie to be successful, but it will never hit a chord with me personally. (Seeing the faux-Master Chiefs on the elliptical treadmills makes my eyes roll uncontrollably.)

I'm quite surprised that no one seems to care about Iron Man 3. I admit Iron Man 2 sucked in a lot of ways, but I thought Avengers more than made up for it and I've been totally psyched to see it since the first teaser. Unfortunately I'm not the kind of person who can tolerate a crowded opening weekend theater so it's still a few weeks away for me.

I'm also pretty psyched about Thor. I was pretty shocked how much I loved the first one. They took the ridiculousness of the source material and owned it. That really connected with me. Plus, Tom Hiddleston has been pretty damn awesome in that character.

I would be up for another Hulk movie. I really enjoyed The Incredible Hulk, and I loved Hulk in the Avengers Movie, I want to see what brave soul wants to make another Hulk movie.

Dissapointed by the lack of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug on the poll. Seriously, the first was fucking amazing. It's the only film worth seeing this year.

The World's End, it's by the same guys that did Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. Its the first movie that I've been excited for in years. Also maybe the AVGN movie and the Ashens movie.

Pfah. I don't particulary care for any of those movies. The one I'm truly anticipating, the one I'm holding out for...

... is Dick Figures: The Movie!

Myeah.

All of the above, seriously, it's a great time to be a scifi/comic/fantasy geek XD Hobbit 2 as well! I cast my vote for Man of Steel just because it's something I want to turn out to be good so badly.

Seen Iron Man 3, was totally awesome, so I can tick it off the list.

While I do want to see pretty much all of these films, I had to pick other because....

DESOLATION OF SMAUG comes out in December and I love all 4 Peter Jackson adaptations.

The World's End, I can't wait for that film. I'm looking forward to loads of others but that's top of my list.

Out of your list?

Thor 2: Loved the cheese of the first, what got me really interested in the Marvel cinematic universe.
Iron Man 3: See above
The Man of Steel: A reboot that actually could work.

Missing from your list (for shame!)

Elysium: If it is as half as good as District 9 them I'm sold
The Hobbit: I preferred the movie over the book, in part due to the many dwarves getting actual characterisation.

Negatives of your list

Pacific Rim: I would be all over this if it weren't for the fact that the Spacebattles Forums got DMCA'd for making a thread that was compiling info on it.

World War Z: As a fan of the Max Brooks book series that it takes its title of (and apparently nothing else) this movie is going to be depressing.

While some of those choices are quite tempting, I had to go with 'Other', since I'd be lying if I said I wasn't totally psyched about Elysium.

Well, seen Iron Man 3 already so now I'm mostly interested in the next Hobbit movie.

So true. I will watch it because I love zombies, not because I love the Max Brooks book they stole the title from.

Also, World War Z. I haven't read the original, but the whole idea of turning usual zombies into some sort of Arachnids from StarShip Troopers seems really compelling to me.
A shame it was nothing like that in the books, then I might have forgiven them.

Thor 2 I am very excited about but I really really really want to see the second part of the Hobbit. Man I love that story and Martin Freeman as Bilbo is just perfection.

Jesus so many movies...

I voted Star Trek, cause I am a nerd, watched it when TNG was new, TOS on repeats, and I did enjoy ST: 2009.

I wanna see thor, ironman, pacific rim, Elysium(sp?), man of steel. New Wolverine looks interesting, kinda similar to the japanese anime version.

Probably a few I missed..

EDIT: Shit. there's a movie based on Ender?! *adds to list*

As much as I'm looking forward to the big films like Thor, Hobbit and Star Trek, my most anticipated film is actually Before Midnight, the third part of the trilogy following Before Sunrise (1995) and Before Sunset (2004). Loved the first two so this gets top billing for me.

Is that seriously a thing that exists?

OT: Tie between Iron Man 3 and Pacific Rim. Robot suits and bigger robot suits, respectively.
