Poll: What music do YOU listen to

Mostly prog rock. Game soundtracks too. I'm starting to find newer music that isn't too bad though.

The newest album of both Anthrax and Machinehead are pretty great. Loving them so far.

Pretty much everything, but I listen to a lot of post-rock and math-rock, psytrance and minimalist orchestral. That's at the moment, anyway. Before that, it was folk, progressive-death and alternative rock.

Mainly rock, pretty much all subgenres, including, but not limited to Metal, Hard, Folk, Alt, Punk, Arena, Southern, Blues, and Pop. I do listen to a bit of techno, rap, and classical every now and again, but most of the time, it is some flavor of rock.

I like how there are so many genres under "rock" when the majority of this site likes metal (or that is usually how it turns out when metal is on there), yet electric/techno and dubstep (the lowest and most pathetic form of techno) are separate.

I listen to electronica, which dubstep, electro, techno, bass, drum and bass, house, dance...
a shit tonne of genres stand under.
I also listen to rock, alternative, hip-hop, soul... I listen to everything!

Ultimately it depends on the mood that I am in
I shall listen to anything from Beethoven and Mozart to Thrash Metal.
Favourite however is funk or alternative rock

My favorite genre, at the moment, would have to be a tie between indie rock and whatever the hell Coil and Steven Stapelton create. Amazing work, both of them.

I like pretty much anything, I voted for pop since I figured that would be a minority choice here (a move I call "the hipster double reverse"). I like about 40% of what's on the radio in the past few years, solo females like Katy Perry, Rihanna, some of Gaga, and pop rappers like Eminem, Kanye, etc. Sometimes I go to VEVO to listen to them.

There's only two kinds of music. Good and bad.

I mostly listen to the good kind.

I like your style.

But if had to pick one I'd probably go rock, mostly for the fact that I like good ol' bread and butter music. Y'know, one drummer, one guitarist, one bassist, one singer, maybe a piano or a tambourine somewhere in there and songs about anything from dollars to donuts. I guess for some perspective my favourite band is The Beatles and my favourite modern band is Elbow
