I have a PC and Mac setup beside each other, using Synergy to link one keyboard and mouse between the two. So I use 2 OS's.

If you use a Mac, how can u actually play games? The best games (in my opinion) are for the computer and they only work for Windows. What games can you play on a Mac?
Well, there are programs that allow you to natively run Windows programs on Mac, as well as the fact that you can install Windows on a Mac, and dual boot both OS's, depending on which one you want to use at the time. So you can technically play any game you want on a Mac.

And WoW has a mac version. (I like WoW, okay? Lay off.)

I use XP on my desktop, and I have Leopard on my laptop.

My mac is an G4, though. I'm downgrading to Tiger (or whatever large cat came before it) as soon as I can, Leopard does not work well here.

Mac OSX Panther and I sometimes use OS9. Some things refuse to run on OSX for some reason.
And also because I'm just that cool.

I dislike Vista but I use it because my University has completely integrated it into their system and it actually makes life easier because of that....Once windows 7 comes out I'm switching to it. I've played around a bit with the beta and loved it.

Unless my computer dies for some reason before 7 is released...then I'm gonna get a mac.

Vista =P
Vista is really pretty, but other than that it is pretty pathetic.
I'd have chosen XP, but my mom claimed that I couldn't get a laptop with it anymore (which I knew was a load, but I didn't have time to fuss around with it).
All in all, it isn't too bad, but I also have a widescreen display, which makes everything other than viewing movies difficult (I can't find wallpapers, games look stretched horizontally, etc.)
That's strange, I've had absolutely no problems finding wallpapers for widescreen monitors. Also, tons of games, even some really old ones, support widescreen resolutions, you should try messing with the settings. Even if it doesn't, there's a large community of people devoted to making mods that allow games to be played in widescreen. Failing that, run the game in a window. Bam! No stretching.

Vista Home Premium on my desktop, and 7 Beta on my laptop. Can't complain about either of them, although I had huge second thoughts about Vista. Turned out to be quite fine after all, but still could have used at least 6 more months of dev time. The worst thing I've experienced with it actually comes courtesy of Sun, who successfully sued MS not to do a Java VM anymore. As a result, there's no MS VM anymore - not a big deal in itself, if only the MS JVM hadn't placed its DLL in the System32 directory, and the Sun JVM unfortunately does not. Guess where some programs expect it, and how long it took me to find the PRECISELY right course of action. Extra points for guessing the ways lack of information made me screw up in the mean time.

The Search Bar and its quasi-command line behaviour are a real killer, although they come courtesy of... someone else. :D

Oh, and the C:\Users (cluttered as hell) and Explorer (supposedly randomizing window size and file displaying) behaviour can go fuck themselves. Seriously, who comes up with these kind of things?

I'm running a dual-boot box with Vista and XP. I'll probably add a third HDD with Windows 7 if Windows 7 is released near a Birthday/Christmas.

I should say that you quoted something posted over a year and three months ago, so the situation might have changed such as:
Found wallpapers
Windows suck for games in my opinion, so I just run it on full-screen with screen-centering rather than fitting.
And it's more of a concern that my computer sucks and it has Vista in terms of finding good games (even playing Half-Life 2 with the settings so that it runs the fastest that it will on my comp it still chugs at least a tiny bit all the time).
But, one can only expect so much out of a laptop I got for size-economy compared to a desktop bought for power.

Vista and Ubuntu 8.10

Vista only because of gaming and Ubuntu cause it is the best operating system I have ever used.
Compiz Fusion gives me a boner
and its as stable as...something thats realy stable, I don't have an anelegy for that one.
Community is amazing
Being able to redo everything I want is awesome
Compiz Fusion effects give me a boner
Open Source isn't always better, but it's advanceing fast, Ubuntu get a bunch of updates every few days, to improve security and stability

Last but not least, microsoft pisses me off, however...I do need them
