[quote="Hopeless Bastard" post="18.194595.6208764" pre-loaded laptops count.[/quote]

Really? I would have thought buying a laptop with a pre-loaded version was a consumer choice, however misguided :D

Windows Vista. I've always used Windows as an operating system and it has never let me down. Therefore, I choose to continue using Windows as my operating system.
Same here. Vista may have been complete shit in it's early days, but now it works just fine.

Windows 7 here. So far I haven't missed a single Windows release. I don't consider myself a Microsoft fanboy (I despise IE), but so far Windows has never let me down, and since Windows has better general compatibility with both software and hardware than the alternatives, I couldn't see myself switching any time soon.

i hit windows other because i run things on vista, XP and XP64. xp64 is the most solid make, but it's straight-guy-in-the-east-village rare that i can get a WORKING peripheral device driver. but fortunately it's a gaming rig, and i can get WH40K:DoW2 running pretty well.

my laptop is vista, and i use it for all my downloading, and research purposes. also a pretty handy alarm clock.

my old xp system i have for records of my old files*.

I have Win 7 on my uber-awesome gaming PC (which can run Crysis easily on Very High :D ), Mac OSX Leopard on my backup laptop, and XP on my backup backup 8-year-old laptop.

Ubuntu, a friend converted me to Linux. Technically I'm dual booting with Windows XP, but I'm not really using it (though its partition takes up most of my hard drive).

Windows 7.
Laptop came with Vista (hence it was a good 200 euro less than with Windows 7 and with the same specs) and I put 7 on it the day I got it in the mail.

It's so pretty ^_^

Mac OSX for the win. I use Windows XP too, but it sucks and I only use it for games. Less so now, what with Steam being available on Mac.

vista= :(
I only had 8 choices and I wanted to cover the whole spectrum.
Vista and 7 are different but are still a heck of a lot more similar than any of the other choices. I'm sorry but you'll just have to share.

Running Windows 7 and loving it. Though this laptop came with Vista. Which was first replaced by XP. I had the Windows 7 RC while it was out, which pretty much convinced me which OS to get next time.

I use windows 7, but on vista I used paint quite a lot for animations, but because the paint in windows 7 is... shit, i can no longer do such things :(
