Poll: What OS?

Hi again peeps. What operating system do you, my fellow gamers, use? Is it the tried and true xp, of windows latest offering 7? Something spicy from apple...or does linux take your fancy?

Discuss, but remember to say why you use what you use!

I use Vista, thinking of going to a dual boot between KUmbumtu and Win 7.

I use both Linux and XP, but I picked linux because any day-to-day work (including at-work work) is done on Linux. XP is just for Guild Wars. Linux because I'm a power user who likes being able to automate boring tasks (oh, my beloved Perl...) and XPs Fisher Price GUI gets in my way more than it simplifies.

vista runs fine as does XP, but the fine just doesn't cut it for me...i need to tailor my OS to my style and my preferences and vista and xp fall short there, plus the shareware and freeware is amazing...and the HDD space for linux(almost any version) just can't be beat it's small AND functional

I'm currently using Windows 7 Home Premium RTM. Just waiting for my license key to arrive on Oct 22 so I can register it

W7 is not polished yet.

I'd have to disagree, W7 is very polished. I've yet to find anything that doesn't work in W7, and I'm using it on two desktops and a netbook.

Vista, never had any problems that people ***** about (not saying they don't exist, just saying I've not had them).

Win. 7 is apparently harder to run, despite MS claims. So that should be interesting. Sticking with Vista for now.
