I use Vista and i'm planning on switching to win7 as soon as it pops.

I don't really understand why the Mac operating systems are up there if this is about gaming Opsys... I know like three people that use macs for gaming and they all run vista on it...

i use both linux and xp, honestly i think both osx and windows should take a page from linux's play book and fix their overly bloated os and speed them up

So if people use an OS that for wichever reason you dont like they must barely know a thin about computers? that's bullshit, people just kept complaining about its early failures that are already fixed juts like people did in the 98-xp transition but i bet you're to young to remember that.

I have two computers, a laptop and a desktop. The macbook is running leopard and the desktop is running xp. I miiiiight update to Windows 7 after some hardward upgrades. I had vista on an old laptop and hated it, it's actually why I got a macbook. But then I missed windows so I got my desktop.

Windows 7. Used to use Vista as it wasn't a bad OS at all, it's just Windows 7 is better.

using w7 as we speak, got it when it first came out for beta testing, im having minimal issues with it and most of my games are running better then on vista.

That's for the main PC, tablet, girlfriends pc and living room HTPC - server runs x64 XP and runs mint so don't want to change anything there - laptop, bedroom HTPC and extension HTPC are all too old, underpowered and little used to be bothered upgrading past XP. (though the laptop has a Vista certified sticker on it ).

Me mobile run windows 6.5 - upgraded yesterday when the official HTC Europe Rom came out for the TouchPro2.

FreeBSD - screw you, Linux. I prefer something that works... (Wait... What do you mean I have to configure everything manually? ... Where are those instructions again? ... )

Honestly though, Windows XP mostly.
I've got a FreeBSD installation somewhere, but getting it fully operational requires a little work.
Also, games... I mean, PC gaming is windows gaming for the most part...

I had ubuntu for a while... But it's ironic when it crashes more often than windows does on my system... Stupid graphics drivers...
