This is probably gonna look like a very odd topic, but it hasn't been done before, and I was wondering if many people have scars (and what they are from) and maybe how you feel about having them.

In my case, I have lots of scars, since I'm very very clumsy. Anyways, these are my scars:

A little scar tissue on my left cheek and under my lip from being bitten by a dog when I was 10
On my left arm which is a burn from when I was 2 or something
On my left leg from shaving (yeh... that scar just annoys me really)
On my right forearm from something at some point
And finally I have a scar on the top of my left foot for something I don't remember.

Personally most of my scars I'm fine with, except the one on my left arm and face. My burn will never go away. It's only like 4cm across or less, since I've grown alot since I got it, but I always have to cover it up in the sun etc.
The one on my face is purely something I hate aesthetically (it's less than 1cm on my cheek, and you only see the one on my lip if I stretch it a certain way). People generally only notice it when I point it out, but I have weird coloured eyes, some freckles, and a mole as well, so I think it just adds to imperfections I don't want. I'm not vain because it doesn't really bother me as much as I'm making it sound, but I would definately prefer if it were not there.

Basically I'd like to ask you how many scars you have and what they are from. Also whether you like or dislike them - and why.

This is search bar approved (probably because it might be a very obscure topic)...

Scar on my right elbow from when I fell off my lounge and elbowed a glass that I forgot was there.

I've also got a scar on the front of my scalp from climbing a door frame, which may or may not still be there.

And I've got quite a big dent on the rear-left side of my skull. o_O

Just one on my left knee, from a bike accident a few years ago. I don't have a problem with it because I wear long pants almost every day of the year, so no-one sees it.

Well, let's see:

One scar on the right side of my bottom lip from when I smashed my face on a coffee table and my teeth went through it.
5+ scars on my hands (combined) caused by bike riding, working, or fixing things.
A few random scars on my knees from skinning them on concrete when I was a kid.

That's about it for me. Most of them are caused by being clumsy on occasion.

- A surgical scar on the side of my stomach from an operation I had when I was a baby. I survived it, in case you were wondering.

- A small one on my inner forearm, near the elbow. I got that one while putting some ironing away, I drew my hand back too quickly with the drawer open and sliced myself open on a corner. But I like to tell people I got it knife fighting with sharks.

- A couple of marks on my wrist from a few months back. I was putting together the drinks cabinet in my new flat and the door fell off it's hinges and shattered on my arm. Again, knife fighting with sharks.

- Finally I've got one on my forehead from when I was really young, like three years old. It turns out I'm not a train and I can't run through a radiator... I mean, for now, like. I'm working on remedying that problem through the use of expired mushrooms and creative surgery techniques.

I'll show that radiator who is boss one day. Just you wait.

I have lots. I have a tiny one across my forehead, three parallel lines of discoloration on my upper lip, a twisted mass of scar tissue on my right wrist, an old wound on my left forearm and a large mark on the right side of the area where the chest and stomach meet.

Um... no, actually; I don't have any at all. I thought I had one on my forearm from when I fell off my bike when I was 5 or 6, but apparently it wasn't a scar because it's no longer there.

I'm generally a very cautious person, so usually any bumps or bruises are only of the temporary variety.

I have a few on my hands from cutting melons, one on my foot, and one near my elbow, and one on the back of my neck.

I suppose some people can carry off scars well though.
Actually that's definately true: there's that stereotypical scar over the eyebrow that used to be popular. Probably works best on army-type guys.

I have several small scars on my hands, forearms and knuckles, a little one next to my eyebrow, and some chickenpox scars here and there, but they're very small, almost unnoticable.

Got a few mental scars too :) Not the cool, dark kind though. Just seeing my overweight mates bare hairy ass crack on a night out fucked my shit up.

I think scars tell a story... sort of.

I have a number of little scars on my fingers, you know, the usual, burns, deep cuts etc.
I have one right under my chin where I fell in the bath when I was a kid, landed right on the edge of the bath.
I have my appendix scar, got that one last year, I consider it the king of all my scars (seriously, it's huge).
A few on my shins from trying to jump stuff and failing miserably.
One on my elbow from doing a handstand on my skateboard (it looked awesome until i fell off)
A few paintball scars on my upper chest and shoulder.
Probably my favourite one is on my lower arm. Skin + sauldering iron + melted metal = awesome scar.

I have a nice one along the bridge of my nose where my cousin thought it would be fun to kick me in the face while I was drinking from a Coca Cola can.
Oh the blood, like a fountain it was.

It makes for a nice conversational topic. I haven't got a problem with it, makes me look a tad unique =P

A few tiny scars on my right hand, and an interesting circular scar on my left hand's pinky finger, with circular meaning starting at one side of the nail and traveling along to the other side, via the fingerprint region. Got that one when my brother slammed a door on it when I was really little.

I also have a few stretch marks on my lower back. I didn't know I had them until I went swimming one day and mom saw my back and wondered if I'd been whipped or something. Apparently I grew fast enough and tall enough for that to happen...

I really don't care about my scars because they're so insignificant, but I actually like those stretch marks. I was sad when somebody told me they'd go away eventually.

I have a small scar under my chin from when I jumped over a wall and flipped through the air landing on said wall and slicing said chin open.

I have a small one just where my wrist becomes my hand just below that big lump of hand that creates your thumb, I dunno where its from.

And I have a bunch of scars on my left upper arm.

I have 3 scars on my hand from where I stubbed out cigarettes. These would be the only scars I dislike as they're quite obvious and without a story.

I also have one down from the top right of my chest running diagnolly down to my left hip, it isnt that noticable though.

I don't dislike any of them but I think other people's scars tell interesting stories.

Middle of forehead, under nose and inside lip from bike wreck.

Huge one and three smaller ones from ACL surgery on right knee.

Scar from pilonidal cyst (look it up).

Left eyebrow from an errant elbow.

Medium-sized one on left knee from fall when I was 4.

Medium-sized one on back of left knee from fall when I was 10.

Completely around my left index finger from a work accident.

Inside of left wrist from a different work accident.

It's the scars holding my remaining health bits together.

A scar on my right arm from when my sister accidentally tore some of my skin off from when I was a kid.
A scar on my head from when I stupidly stood up and hit my head on a ceiling fan. Thankfully this one is covered by my hair.
And also I have a scar on my left middle finger from when it almost was broken by a falling chair.
