Half-Life 3.

. . . . . . . .

I kid, I kid. The OP asked for games that will 'never get made'.

As such, presuming Mr. Schaffer stays content with XBLA/Steam/Mobile titles and other such things, I'm not likely to see a sequel to Psychonauts.

Which is a damned shame. Same can be said for Beyond Good and Evil and Eternal Darkness.

Seriously, fuck you Ubisoft for dragging the fans along all these years, with blatant promises of "we'll make it if you do this one thing for us...".

As for Silicon Knights, well.... :/

Other: Homeworld 3 please!
Barring my first choice, this would easily be my next pick. I absolutely adore Homeworld 1, and have always wanted to see a better continuation of the story. (2 was sort of a let down for me)

'Course, my other other-pick would have been a sequel to Populous: The Beginning, but Molyneux and his crew have already revealed they're making a new Populous game called Godus. So....there's that covered. Which basically leaves Homeworld 3. ;)

1. Mechwarrior 5. My favorite game series. and also the only game series in which i would not constantly die in MP.

. . . . . . .

4. System Shock 3. Because I want it.
You've "sort of" already had two of your wishes granted.

Here's the first one: http://mwomercs.com/

And, for all intents and purposes, Bioshock was a pseudo-sequel to System Shock 2.

That's arguable, of course, but it may be the best we can get. Sadly.
I know and have signed up for mwomercs, but I meant TRUE sequel to MW4.
and I know about bioshock, I liked it too but again, wanted TRUE sequel.
thanks for trying tho :)

Definitely Half Life 3 for me.
Though after reading the list I kinda started wanting a new Jedi Knight game, and Mirror's Edge 2 would be awesome as well.
Now I'm a little sad.

I think NFSU3 would be utterly cool, but the game I would want would be Freelancer 2. But I doubt that will ever happen, but at the very least I will have Star Citizen.

I want another shitty-ass 007 game.

Yup.

Actually, I want an Alpha Protocol 2. That game did so many things that could be amazing if they were allowed to iterate on them.

Sequel to Half-life 2 episode 2. I can't really think of manys games I would care for a sequel. I generally prefer a great story and usually DISLIKE when there is a sequel. Like Bioshock/Portal for example.

A hearty, from-the-deepest-part-of-my-belly laugh goes to whoever said that Bioware getting KotOR 3 would ruin it. KotOR-era Bioware was head-and-shoulders above Obsidian, and I've always enjoyed the first game much more than the second one. Even now, I'm sure Bioware would do a better job with a threequel than Obsidian: story-telling has always been more Bioware's cup of tea than Obsidian, (who do what? Bugs?) and a proper KotOR sequel needs a good story.

OT: You know what I want? I want classic Rare back. I want a proper sequel to Banjo-Kazooie, (that Nuts and Bolts game was a'ight, but it didn't scratch the itch I had), I want a sequel to Donkey-Kong 64 (I've heard a lot of people say less than nice things about it quite recently, but I always loved that game), I want another good Perfect Dark game (Zero? Come on. The HD update on the 360 was a step in the right direction, I suppose, but not far enough). Back in the days of the Nintendo 64, Rare would have been one of my favourite developers, if I had been old enough to understand the concept. I want 'em back.

Also, I want a new Zelda game that isn't motion-controlled. I just can't see myself getting into them when they're motion-controlled.

3. Republic commando 2. I want to know what happened to Sev!
While he is still officially listed as MIA, it is implied in the novels that he is dead because no one has seen him or heard from him for years, dispite being well into the formation of the Empire (and the squad becoming IMPERIAL commandos). His being MIA is still a very sore spot among the various commando squads. Scorch is the hardest hit and still hates Boss for leaving Sev, and insisting the replacement is only a temporary replacement. Some other squads say that Delta should be disgraced that they left a squadmember behind and that they could have ignored the order to pull out and rescued him, and others say that since the orders came directly from a Jedi (General Yoda) it is understandable and while the loss of thier squadmate is regretable it was war and they did what they had to do.

OT:
I would be looking forward to the following, and some of them may be in the works:
1) Metal Arms: Glitch in the system 2-The bad guy is still alive! You cant give up now.
2) Warship Gunner 3- The second game came out on the PS2, and is a really good naval fighting game. Putting it on the Xbox 360 would be awsome.
3) Rogue Trooper 2: The war is still on, the traitor is still alive, and Rogue is still wanted by the Souther military. WHY THE HELL IS THERE NOT A SECOND ONE?!
4) Battlefield 3: For obvious reasons:
5) Mercs 3: 2 was great, I want another.
6) Dynasty Warriors Gundam 4: 3 is still one of my favorite games. So of course, I want more.
7) Bulletstorm 2: If for no other reason than to hear Steve Blum make the wierdest and lol-worthyist lines in the history of videogaming.
8) XCOM: Enemy Unknown 2: I dont care what path they take, I just need more XCOM remake!

I'd like That Last Guardian to get right out of development hell and come out before it's too late. I bought a PS3 because I wanted to see what it could do in Team Ico's hands. I don't care if spiritual sequels count, not enough is being mentioned about that game.
Crap! How did I forget this?? I love Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

Guess I'm so used to The Last Guardian being in development hell that I've forgotten it even existed. :'(

Beyond Good and Evil 2.

I know that Ubisoft's been teasing it for about 2 years now, but that's ALL they've done so far, aside from making fans jump through hoops in the hope of seeing it come out.

Another Legacy of Kain game. Or at least a remake of the original Blood Omen and Soul Reaver.

Alpha Protocol 2.

Say what you will about how buggy it is, it had an interesting story, and I'd like to see where the overall concept might go if it were allowed more development time, and less of one idiot dictating everything.

Yeah, I know. I know.

I'd love to see a new, single-player, narrative-centered MechWarrior game too. But, we're not likely to ever see one again; sad to say.

Same goes for System Shock. In fact, I'm not even sure who owns that brand anymore, let alone what the chances are of seeing another. (I'm sure a quick Google search will rectify the ownership part.)

Previously I would probably have said KOTOR 3, but I just finished replaying KOTOR 1 tonight and I wanted to kill myself by the end of it. The combat in that game is absolute garbage and if you already know the twist, the story really just isn't that interesting. I would say that the only two unequivocally good things about the game are Jolee Bindo and HK-47. I remember KOTOR 2 being much better (when it worked), so if Obsidian was making it, perhaps it would be a good idea, but then again I remember KOTOR 1 being good too.

I think my answer now would be Mirror's Edge 2. The only major changes I think that the first game absolutely needed was someone else to write it and a much greater focus on environmental story-telling.

Out of your choices, give me Battlefront 3. Battlefront 2 is a top-tier multiplayer game that feels fresh and fun even to this day. Hell, I would have been satisfied if Pandemic just re-released Battlefront 2 with some new models, several more maps, and proper online multiplayer (dedicated servers, more usable server-browser, etc.) and called the game Battlefront 3.
