White Collar isn't to bad, but you might be disappointed if your following Firefly with it.

Do you like animation, have you watched avatar: the last airbender?

I'm watching White Collar, Primeval, and Black Books on Netflix now, and all three are wonderful.

Twin Peaks is an excellent choice, you'd be hard pressed to find another show like it. It has no real ending, but it's still fun for the ride.

Lost is another great one, not sure if you've seen it.

Whoa, TNG is on Netflix now?! Or is it only available in the states... *checks* Dammit to hell, not available in Canada.

Now that my hopes have been thoroughly dashed, I suggest Justified. Excellent show. I'd jump on the breaking bad train with everyone else but I still have to watch it myself.

Motherf***er. Why must Canadian netflix be such utter shit compared to the states...

I shall forever recommend Community, Arrested Development and House whenever asked.

Although I only know that Arrested Development is on Netflix for sure.

Of those options, Breaking Bad or Luther.

Of all options, Friday Night Lights. Always Friday Night Lights (although I can't say if it's on Netflix or not)

Could not second this more!
The first season is a bit slow in the beginning but after that it's amazing. Season 3 and 4 are my favourite.

Of those on the list, go with Breaking Bad. It's wonderful...especially when Bob Odenkirk gets involved. ^_^

Too bad Twin Peaks went downhill during season 2. The first season was just mind blowing.

OT: Watch The X Files or Buffy the Vampire Slayer :)

If I go by your list, I'd definitely recommend Breaking Bad. If the following shows are available on Netflix and you haven't seen them, you ought to check them out too: Justified, Sherlock and Boardwalk Empire.

Twilight Zone is a good choice if you've never seen it before. I've got Twin Peaks in my instant queue and I hear that is excellent. Burn Notice is also bad ass.

Yeah, it's a shame. The series eventually managed to get back on its feet, but there is a noticeable chunk of season 2 that is pretty mediocre.

The latter being by Joss Whedon, so would be the logical next step for a Firefly fan.

OP: did you watch the Serenity movie, too?

Also: Supernatural.

Super mother fucking Natural.

First episode doesn't showcase its peak, but it's an alright one. Supernatural as a whole is brilliant.
