Well, seeing as it's my favourite game on the list, I'm going to, unsurprisingly, say Witcher 2. It might take a short while to get to grips with the clunkier side of things, but it's a damn fine game. Is it as good as the first game? Debatable (I love both more or less equally), but it's a great follow-up. And, it's Geralt man! Fucking Geralt of Rivia! Such an awesome character.

I vote Dishonored
Because it's a pretty damn fun game, I should tell you to have fun for your first run and then go for the endings the second time round.

OK, I voted Deus Ex, because this should take you less time (ass opposed to Dark Souls and Oblivion, for example) and free you up to play more stuff, but I missed the Dishonored entry. I'd vote for that. I think it's shorter than Deus Ex (well, haven't played DE, yet, though). For the record, I have 44 hours on Dishonored, which is two playthroughs (first one wasn't completely thorough, the second one even less so) but you can extend the playtime, if you disable the rune and bonecharms pointers (you can still find them all using the heart, though). I would have loved to do that, but I was in a hurry to finish it quicker and start another game.

i chose dishonored because its the shortest game there. and then you can move onto the next. the second game should be deus ex becouse that the 2nd shortest game there. even though it's pretty longish if you take things slow and sneaky. ''but worth it''

Xcom, because ALIENS.

That and it is a really great adaption of the original, bit different from most stuff out on the market today. Very much worth it.

I chose Borderlands 2. I'm playing it now and it is really enjoyable.
I also second Deus Ex. A nice allround game.

My order of preference:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
XCOM
Fallout: New Vegas
The Witcher 2
Oblivion

I haven't played the rest, so I really can't say anything about them.

Is this for PC?

Fallout: New Vegas then Mod it.

If not then:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Dishonored

Well I'd suggest the next logical step from Dawnguard would be Dragonborn...

Ok, ok. Out of those you've listed? I'd go for New Vegas (especially with the Old World Blues DLC), Human Revolution and Xcom.

Wow the results of the poll are unhelpful so far =D What sort of games are you normally interested in? I voted for Deus Ex:HR because its one of my favourite games but its different for different people

At least this shows that I don't think you'll be making a bad choice whatever you pick (except no love for Oblivion maybe?)

I voted Dishonored, mostly because it is what I am playing at the moment and am really enjoying it. Borderlands 2 is fun, but it is a lot better when playing with friends. I enjoyed Oblivion a lot, and Fallout: NV (disregarding all the bugs) but since you just finished up Dawnguard I thought I'd recommend something with a different playstyle than Skyrim. Haven't played any of the others, though having played Demon's Souls, I could recommend Dark Souls since it is a similar style game, if a bit more forgiving from what I have read. Loved Demon's Souls, but had to stop playing as there is no pause and I have a toddler walking around getting into things. I need to pause at a moment's notice nowadays. :(

Human Revolution.

It's the best game on the list, frankly. It has actual characters, actual writing, and actual gameplay that isn't a big Skinner box.

Honestly, the only less than stellar parts are the boss fights and the ending. The other 90% of it is beautiful.

new vegas, undoubtedly, in what other games can you kill legionnaires? none, so go out there and slaughter the legion for me soldier, don't let a single Roman scum live.

Even though I voted for DE:HR, I'm surprised to see it winning, if only slightly. But yeah, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly. Apart from some iffy boss fights (Protip: upgrade the Typhoon augment and spam that in their faces) and a let-down ending (understandable due to the fact it's a prequel), it's pretty damned amazing.

I've played Oblivion, XCOM, New Vegas, Dishonoured and Deus Ex. I'd recommend all of them heartily.

For me, my preference order is New Vegas, XCOM, Deus Ex, Oblivion then Dishonoured, but I voted for XCOM because it's awesome and filling my time up at the moment. 100% play all of those titles at some point if possible, though.

I chucked my vote in for The Witcher 2. You obviously like medieval fantasy, so try something a bit more complicated and you play as a well thought out main character, so you will learn more about him as you go.

I'm still working on finishing the first game, but I have the Witcher 2 sitting on my shelf ready to be played after :)
