That is kind of a personal choice, not everyone likes the same games. Out of that list I would play Resident Evil, but that is just me and not everyone likes Resident Evil. I think Revelations is one of the best out of the series, so if you like the Resident Evil series give it a try.

I haven't played any of the ones in the poll, but for what it's worth, I hear RE: Revelations is a good return to form after RE6, and Lost Planet 3 is pretty decent. Whatever you do though, stay away from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Even if you ignore that it's not a 'traditional' Castlevania game, it still doesn't excel in any conceivable way.

RE: Revelations is the closest thing to a survival horror the industry has had in a long time.

Castlevania is an adventure with a lot of puzzle elements to it. Personally, I loved the absolute hell out of it to the point where I beat the whole thing on Insane.

Outlast...I don't know anything about.

Ultimately, just ask yourself if you want to play a survivor horror puzzler, an action adventure puzzler, or ...whatever Outlast is.

Outlast is another horror game. It looks really good actually and it got a good write up.

So, OP, play Outlast and tell me how it is!

I watched some live streaming of Outlast and the game really looks creepy. It's basically a stealth/survival horror game about (mutated?) inmates taking over an insane asylum and you, the player character, trying to escape. There're no weapons, just lots of keys and key cards and a trusty videocamera through which you spend most of the game watching. This is two-fold because you'll be using night vision a lot, which lets you see in the dark, but adds up a whole layer of creepiness, ala REC.

I'd recommend that. Anyway that's what I would play next if I had the choice.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow. It's a frankly excellent hack and slash game with an amazing soundtrack. It's also quite a long game.

Lost Planet 3: a competent, but otherwise unremarkable shooter.

Castlevania LoS: a God Of War clone with bits of loads of other games thrown in, but doesn't really do any of them well.

Outlast: a survival horror game that tries to be like Amnesia The Dark Descent, but depends far too much on jump scares. Ok game, but I found it very predictable very quickly.

Resident Evil Revelations: Resi Evil is a bit of an acquired taste, but this one is the best in a long time. Strikes a pretty good balance between the old school Resi Evil 1-3 style with puzzles and such, and the action-focused style of Resi Evil 4. Arguably the best game on your list.

Quite the contrary I think, Outlast looks like it's doing it's own spin on a horror game, and while it does offer the whole choice of using the video camera, much like the lantern in Amnesia with the opposite effect, and the whole you can't fight aspect, I think it aims for different types of scares though. In Amnesia you feel all alone and it gives the same sense of when it's late and your walking down a dimly lit street, but Outlast has a group of characters about, and kinda reminds me of the splicers from Bioshock when you don't see them but do hear them. Then again, I haven't played it yet so it may just be trying far too hard on the jump scares like you said.

I personally really enjoyed Lords of Shadow. It was my first experience with a Castlevania title, but i was sucked in due to all the nice pretty scenery and the fun combat.
