So after finishing loads of mini flashe animations for projects for people i have decided to create a feature length movie.

i have a few ideas these are the final 2 im coming down to mainly of the simple nature compared to the others.

no1 A romantic comedy set in school BUT its full of violent fights so mainly american pie meets fight club.

no2 A twisted revenge action, full of twists like saw or old boy meets punisher warzone.

I wount get into to much depth but what kind of genre would people rather have out of these 2?.

Both mixed sounds the best. A romantic comedy with twisted revenge action, where Saw meets Fight Club. I'd go see that movie.

No. 2, I guess, as fighting in a romantic comedy sounds obtrusive and odd; I don't think it's really appeal to anyone, as the people who like one genre generally don't like the other. Honestly though, I'd need a bit more information before I could give you a worthwhile opinion on which I'd like better.

Fair point the main reason i didn't put to much info up its cause i mainly only have a basic outline for each of them. The school one is the usual boy likes girl tries to get with girl someone steps in boy turns around and breaks there arms off. Simple ideas but good enough to start on.

The poll is flawed. There's no option for a gritty, hard-boiled high school romantic horror flick.

Although in all seriousness, I believe the time is ripe for something of the classic noir/hard-boiled style. 2cents.

You should make a cheesy love story where all the maincharacters are killed by a bunch of terrorist. Then Donald Duck comes to save the day and an epic battle takes place in a random shopping mall full of zombies. The zombies win the fight and it's then revealed that the zombies were in fact the main-characters and they feast on human flesh together for all eternity.

I'd vote for number 1 only because I like love stories. Just don't give it the same happy ending that most have.

I'd have to agree with this poster, too.

Well, when you put it that way, No. 1 sounds absolutely hilarious! If I were you though, I'd lean more towards making it a parody of the romantic comedy genre, rather than a serious crossover of it and fighting, as doing that might end up with very strange results.

Which one has more zombies?

Also, humor is hard, especially on-screen humor because you have to have great actors, great scripts, and decent cinematography or the joke will fall falt and it will be worse than not having it (see any Wayans brothers movie). That's why you should test your humor on people (preferably impartial people, ie the internet) to both make sure it's good and to find out how to make it better.

to be honest neither sound like great ideas. And I kinda hate when people describe movies describe movies it's _____ meets _____, it starts you off on a negative creative train. But if you made me choose I'd say one (but I hate romantic comedies).

Regal my man, "American Pie meets Fight club" is an awe-striking tag-line. It would also do good as a neat webcomic!

remove the comedy and this sounds awesome. i mean combining them girl falls in love a guy who fights ALOT and finds out there is a few missing threads in his brain so he tortures and murders people for no reason in his spare time (make a note not to depict him as a gamer) and he eventualy Tries to do the same with her but shes all ike oh SHIT and kills him.

4.5 AT least
