Pride.

Pride is the Sin that causes all the others. Although, technically, it's not a Sin. It's just the enabler for self-destructive habits. There's a reason it's the big one children, and there's a reason every society with a Sin-list puts it at the top. It's not bad, it's not Evil, it's just one of those slippery slopes you have to walk.

I, however, am beyond such failings.

I'm not sure how pride enables sloth.

Sloth for me, I skip non-essential lessons at uni to get a bit of extra sleep.

You clearly become so confident in your abilities that you don't even have to be exerting yourself for them to take effect. *nod nod*

Oh, and.. Lust. Greed. And Pride.

I'm not sure how pride enables sloth.

Pride is the self assurance that you deserve five more minutes, and that you really don't need to do [X] right now.

Sure that's one way of being slothful, but I know plenty of people where it's nothing about pride, and all about sheer laziness. A person can wallow in sloth just as easily as revel in it.

It has nothing to do with pride to think to yourself everything is pointless other than to simply lay down and sleep. A person can hate themselves, think they are trash, and still be a sloth.
