According to the drop down lists on many websites, Greater London is a state. Who knew?

I live in western South Dakota. It's not bad, low population density, stayed pretty stable during the economic collapse, beautiful scenery. Fairly conservative, but not extremely so, except the squeaky wheels that get the grease, but not overly liberal either. People say hi, but they aren't creepily over friendly. We also have Mount Rushmore, although I think the Badlands are far more interesting. Oh, and the corn palace, you have to love the corn palace.
I'll just leave this link to a picture of the Badlands if anyone wants to see them.

California native. Currently in Colorado. I hate it here.
My Grandpa lived in Colorado for a long time for his job... worked with a railroad company... whenever we visited him he was the only minority I saw there...<.<

Illinois or more accurately Chicago Land. Were we have Chicago style hot dogs and pizza, plus some mean baby back ribs and a whole shit ton of attractions like Buckingham Fountain, John Hancock Center, Millennium Park, Shedd Aquarium and Navy Pier just to name a few and we have some of the most corrupt politicians around.

I've seen like five black guys and twenty hispanic guys here. Oh, and one Japanese girl. That's it. Everyone else is white.

How in the world is Portland on your little map there, but not the city 10 times its size right across the bay from it. That would be Corpus Christi for all those that never set foot in Texas.

I'm sorry, but every single state on this thread just got the shit kicked out of it by may state, Washington. Not only do we have the three of the four future overlords of mankind Microsoft, Costco, and Starbucks, the other being Wal-Mart, but we also have great coffee (not just Starbucks), game developers (Valve, Nintendo's software developers and US headquarters, Sucker Punch (the people who made Infamous) Bungie, and I'm sure a few smaller ones), Amazon.com, and we have a fuck ton of unspoiled wilderness.

You need to add Northwest to your poll, we all feel insulted we weren't given our own option.
I second that, if fact I since I see quite a few people from Washington. Maybe we should just have our state as an option.

But at least add the Northwest, it's a real devision we swear.

we have the Smithsonian, all your priceless historical artifacts belong to us....
Well you don't build up a whole lot of history in only a few hundred years. We had to borrow a bit to fill out that nice big museum.

It mostly depends on the area you're in. Eastern side of the Rockies tends to have more minorities and such, so you'll find more Native Americans. I don't know what tribe that they are (I assume Sioux, but I'm unsure), but there is that.

Awww... and I was going to be friends with you with for having such an awesome avatar, but if that's the way it's gonna be, I guess I won't. JK.^_^

Well, Kansas is..., it's..., shit, I can't think of anything that defines it other than really flat and uneventful. Seriously, outside of college sports and the psychotic Westboro Baptist Church, no one outside this state really seems to know of our existence. At least we have the aviation capital of the world, Wichita, which is about the only thing keep Kansas from becoming the "Anonymous State".
