I'm from New York, and I live pretty close to the city. I'm not too big of a fan of NYC, though, it smells terrible, it's always noisy, and people there can be absolutely insane. I guess it can be a fun place to be with friends, though...

utah.

it doesn't rock. not even close.

Same state as this guy.

No, I'm not not a Mormon before you ask.

I am in the South-East portion of the state which is... well... Let's call it "low population".
Moab, Utah: Not quite the middle of fucking nowhere, but close enough.

Yeaaup. At least the out-of-doors is pretty?

*sighs and pushes a dried pea around his kitchen table for fun*

i thought only pligs came from SE utah

how are you even alive? :|
No, those are mid-state as far as I know.

As for my survival, I credit the internet and Hot Pockets. Oh, and a healthy dose of Mysanthropy.

I'm from Oregon, and it rocks because it's nice and green(at the cost of having a shit-ton of rain).

Yeah, nothing of any huge deal happens or comes from here, but I like it being quiet.

EDIT: Also, we have a fairly vibrant music and arts community?
Me too. I love living in Oregon, because I like the rain sometimes and it is really beautiful here in the Fall, especially on my universities campus.

Also OP, I think you should have put a Northwest Option there because there is a pretty big difference between California and NW States like Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

Yeah I can vouch for that, I'm dating a "texan" from the Dallas/Fortworth area he dosen't even have a southern Accent. And I lived in College Station and worked at Free Birds Texas Ave you're more likely to run into a hipster that a cowboy (or redneck).
Holy crap! I'm in College Station too. Work at the Starbucks in the Target next to the Freebirds on Texas!!! Small world :D

Also, I'm from El Paso in West Texas, but I think the time I spent in California and being not a moron has distilled the cowboy hatted republicanism out of me.

Western Colorado isn't much better. We have all the climate and terrain of SE Utah, minus the actual nice rock formations, plus the overflow from Texas and Utah.

I live in a small-ish town (about 2400 people) in Northern Illinois. Its so boring, we have 1 entire street dedicated to bars and I'm not 21 so its utterly useless to me right now

My state doesn't rock, we have chicago and corrupt governors... thats about it.

Illinois or more accurately Chicago Land. Were we have Chicago style hot dogs and pizza, plus some mean baby back ribs and a whole shit ton of attractions like Buckingham Fountain, John Hancock Center, Millennium Park, Shedd Aquarium and Navy Pier just to name a few and we have some of the most corrupt politicians around.
I know what you mean. Chicago is run like the god damn mafia. Gotta love the hot dogs here though.
It is not like the mafia, the mafia is efficient. I honestly prefer a good Maxwell St polish over the hot dogs.

I'm from Oklahoma. It's like Texas' sidekick. Say what you will about the bible belters, though, they sure know how to cook.
I am from Oklahoma and I can attest to this. I lost weight when I went to college (in Missouri) and gained it back, at one week into winter break..

Also...am I the only Asian in Oklahoma...???
I know the Southeast Asian community in Oklahoma city and surrounding areas is increasing every year.

Back on topic
I'm from Texas.
Hmmm...interesting...

OT(?) I am almost in Texas actually. I am twenty minutes away from the border. Maybe that's why there are no Asians here...or interesting things to do. I mean, when the closest city is Texarcana...

*sigh*

Wow. 54.7% not from the US. I knew we had a LOT of British and Australians here, plus various other folks from outside Eagleland, but Americans in the minority? Wow. No wonder this place is so much more intelligent on balance than most gaming sites.

That said, I live in Reno, but I'm FROM Boston, so I put Northeast. I don't consider this place "home", just a place I'm marking time and getting an education so that I'll be better off when I get back where I belong.
