Poll: What type of game ending is best?

I love bittersweet endings. They carry so much more emotion with them for me.

I'm a huge fan of endings that show the outcome of certain decisions I made. I'm trying really hard to think of an example, and failing...

Mass Effect. The 'bad' ending is the best game ending I've seen in a while. The repurcussions in the sequel could be tremendous.

What is the bad ending? I only got the good one

Depends on the game, a happy ending on an FPS would just be naff. RTS however deserves one.

I think the ending of Braid was incredible because it combined the story with the gameplay so well. And it was also a pretty good plot twist that I shall not spoil because if you haven't played Braid yet, you should.

as long as it isn't a cliffhanger to get you to buy the next game, most game ending I'm pretty happy with.
