I chose the Infected ones simply because they'll catch up to me and be nommin on my head and just about anyone else's in no time. As for the Slow ones, i.e. the Classic zombies, they would be just as scary if I was backed into a corner, since they make up for what they lack in speed, with numbers. A slow painful death by zombie bites is not fun.

I find the running ones more scary, and they're more likely to attack, at least with the classic ones you can walk away if there's not many of them.

Personally, I think the "infected" style of zombies would scare me more. Something that wants to eat me, has the ability to run at full sprint and no telling if it can get tired.

Although I read some of the old school Japanese legends type of zombies and they can practically use rifles!

Oh God, yes. I've emptied entire shotgun clips into them. I once wasted all three RPG rounds on three of them. Hell, I think I once killed a Poison HEADCRAB with a rocket.
