Sticky from Fallout 3. I fed him to the nearest Yao Guai.

The Norse guy from Black and White 2. When I got control of the island with my beautiful city, I MERCILESSLY DESTROYED HIS WITH EVERY SPELL IN MY ARSENAL.

The camp celt from the third island in black and white (I dot care if its obscure)
He wouldnt die.. I watched him drowning for 20 minutes and when I went back to his fire he just said 'you cant hurt me'. I flung him into the air repeatedly and all I heard was 'oww my eye'.
God I hated his guts.
(that dosent really fill the criteria of a npc you killed but anyway)

It's a brilliant trick, putting annoying characters in video games, especially action-oriented ones. It either makes the player turn all sound off or makes the player grudgingly finish the game in the hopes that aforementioned annoying character gets a shotgun shell to the forehead at the end of it all.

That being said, when I killed Hou at the end of Jade Empire, I felt immense satisfaction.

I absolutely hated the harrasers in Assassins Creed, and I enjoyed knocking the crap out of them. So many times they have ruined a perfect mission.

On the opposite end of the scale, I really didn't want to have to kill Gunther in Deus Ex. :(

I didn't kill him personally, he commited suicide. And I was kinda glad about that. He looked just plain silly, and I never really liked him anyway. Spoilers for Final Fantasy IV beneath the bar:

I'm talking, of course, about Tellah.

Conversely, I nearly cried when Palom, Porom and Yang "died". The DS version's voice acting is superb, so it really gets the emotions across...

That annoying mage from Oblivion. My first thought was "I'm going to kill him."

Then he walked into a trap and got crushed between a giant block and iron spikes.

I stood for a second and went on my way again, a joyful skip in my step.

Steve Burnside from Resident Evil: Code Veronica (when he died I cried tears of joy).

Ashley from Resident Evil 4 (I killed her so many times I've lost count, it's thereputic).

Sgt. Sullivan in CoD5, he was just an arsehole in my eyes (Roebuck was pretty legend though).

The little flying thing in Halo; Monitor I think it was named.

I killed her too, but only when I'd hemorrhaged all my herbs on a poorly executed fight so that I could get to the load screen quickly.

But Hou is awesome!

Kang was much funnier though...

I picked Hou to kill too actually, he just so useless in a fight, but I do love his conversation in the credits, even if he was supposed to be dead and unable to have that conversation...

(Fallout 3)I killed all the people in Tenpenny Tower, 'cause one of them dissed me. She basically called me scum. Something about me exceeding the expectations she made judging from my apparent breeding. Oh, that ***** burned. Heads rolled because of her.

Felt bad about killing Herbert 'Daring' Dashwood though, but to be fair he was shooting at me when I enslaved one of them...

I always want to kill the people who tell me to take point, then just leave me by myself. Point man does NOT mean army of one, dammit!!!

That's my rant over.

The Adoring Fan from Oblivion. I don't know why, I just hated him from the beginning.

The adoring fan on oblivion, he wouldn't die as hard as I tried
This. That annoying little freak won't die. Or rather won't stay dead. Not even if you console kill him (PC version)

The only character that really annoyed me in Star Ocean: TLH was that Shimada character, but thankfully he wasn't featured much and he died in a truly spectacular fashion.

Seymour from FFX... hated him from the first moment I saw him, and he strangely reminded me of Sephiroth... but then later in the game, I was disappointed again and again... if you've played it, you probably know why...

I know there were more people, they just aren't coming to mind at the moment...

Florian from Overlord 2, when he gets sent to the arena after the last tower heart shard
Although, since he turns out to be Solarius, and is the final boss, and doesn't actually die until the last fight, i'm not sure if that counts. that and the fact that i think he was SUPPOSED to be annoying so that it would be a surprise when we find out he was solarius. it'd be like navi turning out to be ganadorf (note to self: write that down)

Edit: when i say i was glad he died, it meant when i THOUGHT he died, because he was annoying which is what i mean in this thread. i was glad when he actually died, but because i beat the game. just clearing that up
