I liked the second one the best. Not quite sure why, but there was something about it that makes me want to watch it more than the others.

Oh, bugger this poll to hell. I don't want to choose :/

I guess I'd have to vote FoTR. Simply because it contained the Moria scenes, which were my favourite out of the entire trilogy. Plus, it had the frigging Balrog!

Definately The Two Towers. It doesn't take ages to set up and has mroe action than Fellowship of the Ring and it's got equally cool sieges as Return of the King but without the fifteen endings.

Return of the King, in my opinion.

Maybe it was the Witch King. Pure badass. (Please no comments along the lines of "He can't be that good, he was beat by a woman". That was the prohecy made 1000 years before his death, damnit!)

Im not the biggest LOTR fan, but I did enjoy The Two Towers alot more than the others. I hope The Hobbit is better though.

It's incorrect anyway.

He was beat by a woman and a hobbit :p

Well, if you want to split hairs, it never specified how many would take him down.

Do not pursue him! He will not return to these lands. Far off yet is his doom, and not by the hand of man will he fall

True. I think they should have pursued him anyway. The prophecy may not have existed if Glorfindel had kept his mouth shut.

You bastards made me pick!!!

Ok, I really enjoyed the first one because that was the BIG PAYOFF for all the love and hoping and praying to Jesus that this random Kiwi guy wasn't going to sideways fuck my favourite book.

Fellowship set the tone for the others- it got it all so damn right... even when they cut stuff like Bombadil, they put stuff in- you actually saw the romance between Aragorn and Arwen- and they had her do stuff, too!!

Ok, gushing... sorry...

Basically, this is the one that told me everything was going to be ok.
I still love the other two :)

For me, I enjoyed The Two Towers more than the other two. The battle for Helms deep was just immense.

Ive always love the second act of the trillogy because i love iseganrd. Is my favorite faction, and i love the tower of orthank. The Ironic part is that Saurman was the leader of the wood counsles efforts to drive Sauron out of his original fortress of Dol Goldur in Mirkwood. I still think that sauron was going to kill him for that little piece of business.

The Rankin & Bass one. Where there's a whip...
OH GOD NO! Never again!

OT: I liked Two Towers best, probably due to Helm's Deep and the last march of the Ents.

Im going to go outside of the box and say "lord of the rings" the older animated movie. I cannot get into peter jacksons' directing, everything he makes is just so long and drawn out, I could have read the books faster than watching his over length movies
