PC for me. Its hard to see myself purchasing it on day 1 even with stellar review considering MGS4 is a severely over-rated game.

Not sure MGS4 is really relevant. Ground Zeroes\Phantom Pain is the sequel to Peace Walker. (Which was once called Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker.)

But its the same franchise. I'm just be wary because I think the game reviewers raved about MGS4 because it's a MGS game rather than for on its own.

EDIT: While that tends to happen a lot with franchises, I think MGS4's case was severe.

I have exactly zero respect for the brainwashed masses that are going to deny themselves the pleasure of playing a good video game because current KONAMI management is run by imbeciles. These same people have no idea how many items in their possession were made in sweat shops by 8 year old girls or worse. But Jim Sterling didn't talk about it so they don't care. In comparison to people working in such conditions, employees in Japanese corporations actually can do something about it. Kojima can do something about it. He did. Maybe not the best thing, but he left and KONAMI will suffer for it in the long run. You can hate KONAMI as much as you want. But why? Your decision to buy or not to buy MGS V will have no impact on them. If you don't believe me, here you go: http://toucharcade.com/2015/08/10/konami-profits-up-due-to-mobile/

It will only have an impact on you since you'll be the ones missing out on a good game because you're so easily brainwashed into hating something or someone that has no real impact on your life. And you probably think that you're a better person because of it. Jesus fuckin' Christ.

PC, maybe. Depending on how broken the game is at launch, and how fixed it is in a few months (if launched broken).

Too bad there's no 'not playing it' option. That's where I fall in.

From what the paid demo playstation let me play for free let me know, it's one of those stealth games where you can silently complete an objective, and suddenly there are about twenty more dudes spawned around the base, sometimes right on top of dudes you knocked out.

Which is just a bad note for me, on top of the painful storytelling.

I have a PS4 and it'll be the most likely system to purchase The Phantom Pain for in my case.
