Dunmer first (considering I've always played Dunmer in Elder Scrolls Games in my first run) and then a Nord (to get into the spirit of the setting).

I'll probably do Orc my first time around because I feel like killing everything and anything that opposes me.

Argonian. I don't know about anyone else, but I found them to have the only faces that weren't excruciating to look at in oblivion (see: uncanny valley). Of course, I've been playing the lizardfolk since Morrowind, so that really isn't an excuse. Fluff and water-breathing mostly, I guess.

As for class, I either go with Destruction, blade, heavy armor and repair or marksmanship, stealth, illusion and lockpicking. Plus whatever else feels like it fits. I'm not sure how they changed the system tough, so I may not do exactly the same thing. I actually preferred Morrowind's system...

I'm most likely to go with a Redguard first time through. I love my Speed and Strength characters.

Argonians, wooo! You'll be all "I'ma poison you so hard!" and we shall respond with "Nuh-uh". Oh! All the failed assassination attempts!

In Morrowind I alternated between being a Bosmer and a Dunmer. In Oblivion I was pretty much always a Dunmer.

As for Skyrim, I probably wont know until I actually start playing the game and looking at all the bonuses and stuff for each race. However, for the sake of this poll I said Dunmer, just because I think they are coolest.

Breton's have had a 50% resistance to magic and have decent stats for a mage type character. Skyrim has different skills so I'm curious specifically what bonuses each race is.

depends on how the gameplay has changed since oblivion.. Personaly i would like to play a pure stealth character with archery and knives and avoid using magic as much as possible.. but is it going to be "good" enough to allow me to beat all challenges even in the endgame? This is the big question for me.

-edit : as for race, i usually use Breton since they got magic resistance IIRC, wich is always welcome.

Argonian. Why? Because I want to be a god damned half human half velociraptor. Is that too much to ask for?

Either a breton or a dunmer, for the first play through, for the over-modded silly 2nd play through I'll look for a custom race mod that looks interesting.

You mean the first one I play?

Nord. I'm going to be a giant hulking axe-wielding madman. I'm guessing a lot of the enemies will have frost magic, and what better to fight the cold than those born from it? Oh, and I'll probably be liked more, cuz everyone in Tamriel is racist when in their home country.

I suppose I'll play a Breton mage or a Dark Elf jack-of-all-trades afterwards.

I bet no one is going to choose The Lord for their sign this game :p

High Elf-pure mage all the way. Blasting peoples faces off from miles away never gets old. (Plus the magic system sounds so much cooler.)
