You're talking to a guy who deletes his completed save files after he finishes games, just to save memory on his crappy laptop and to save memory on his Xbox hard drive for music files. Seriously, the games themselves will still be safe, it's not as if this mysterious virus thing will sweep all my game discs and everything, right? So to get my Gamerscore and achievements and such back all I have to do is replay the games, which I'd do anyway.

Whereas on the other side, we're talking about a guy/girl's life. A rl, living, breathing human being.

So yeah, I'd save the person. Data is data, but a person is a person...

Of course I'd save all my stuff. This is like the third time I've answered this question today. How about you change it up and turn 'stranger' into 'someone i care about'? That would be a more meaningful question.

Anyone choosing savegames in such a situation deserves to be slapped at very least.

A person's life, of course.

I would choose a stranger, every time.
Games don't matter at all, I can just replay them if I so choose. Life is by far more important.

stranger, however.

1 - he better be grateful for it.
2 - he better know how to use a controller because he'll be helping me boost my new accounts :D

A forced friendship. I think he'd choose death, given the choice.

I'll save the person. If all my saved games are deleted then I guess I have more of a reason to get off my lazy ass and do something other than games.

What am I saving them from, how much longer are they going to live if I save them? Am I saving them from drowning so they can die of exposure 30 minutes later?

Fuck strangers.

Sure the data/ memory of games isn't important, buta human life, one of a stranger no less, means absolutely nothing. Besides mortality is outdated and over population is already a problem.

I'd save the guy. I'd assume I wouldn't have to buy all my games over again, and I'm constantly deleting my old saves and things so I can go through and make them again anyway, so it would be a good use of time (not to mention fun as hell) knowing that I could start over and redo all the things I've already done. For example, it would give me a reason to start a new Pokemon Red game (I've been wanting to, but I can't because it would overwrite my 151 pokedex). So erasing all my data would be a good thing.

I don't give a crap about saves, especially since alot of new games have like 5-6 hours of single player (zing!) .
Don't get me started on achievements.
You get to live another day, you bastard.

I'd save the stranger.
One of the good things about losing all of the save data for games I actually care about would be having another reason to play through them all again. Although the unlocks don't really mean anything, it's nice to see that you've achieved something.
That, and Mass Effect would finally be removed forever from records that show I played it. God I hated that game.
Plus the obvious, a person's life is worth more, etc.

Makes me sad to see that some people are so selfish, or so devoted to video games that they would actually save them rather than a life.
