"Tell me, do you bleed?" just does not engender the same nerdgasmic response that "Chewie, we're home" does.

Not even close.

Star Wars, mostly because I want to see what Abrams does with Star Wars. Superman v. Batman is a take on something we've seen before.

Let's see...

The "Were still not done beating you over in the head with a religious message, and now we aren't even try to subtle about it anymore. Also Batman." or the "Nostalgia trip, full of emotion and excitement that actually show enough stuff to get you hooked and still managed to keep you guessing"?

Yeah. I go Star Wars.

Unfair competition. Force Awakens vs Age of Ultron would've been a better match. BvS has too many taints. Snyder. Poor Ben Affleck. The fact Man of Steel was concentrated garbage. DC's insistence on making joyless dirges in order to offset Marvel instead of capturing the adventurous spirit at the heart of "comic books" that made them so popular in the first place. Could go on and on.

I actually think BvS could potentially be interesting...I like the idea of Superman as a "False God" and the world struggling to come to grips with him/viewing him with fear and scorn instead of wrapping their arms around him immediately, but I just can't get over how ludicrous the concept of Batman fighting him is.

Ditto'd. The Star Wars vs Dawn Of Justice trailer head-to-head is about as fair as--- well, Batman vs Superman, fittingly enough. The 'DoJ' teaser just looks ponderous, and low-rent - like it's culled from videogame cutscenes as well as live footage. Star Wars? Opens with a frikkin' landspeeder speedin' past a Star Destroyer wreck - there aren't really any other franchises with the sheer amount of iconic designs that Star Wars has to play with, and whilst I'm no great fan of Abrams, I can't wait to see what someone who isn't George Lucas directing more Star Wars can come up with.

I'm curious about DoJ, but for now it looks a bit like a trainwreck waiting to happen.

BvS trailer made me lose interest even more. It's called colour guys, let it into your lives. Also, I understand people questioning supermans motives (he did destroy a drone and half a city) but calling him a "false god?" that's pretty ridiculous.

Star wars though... I'm not too interested in star wars and this made me want to see it. It's a great teaser, and the attack the block guy looks like he'll be great as the main character of the film.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Why? Because I think DC comics and Warner bros can go suck a big bucket of the genitals they find least appealing. Seriously they really never flesh out their heroes, and make them as boring as dried spit on a pillow. Star Wars is always at least worth watching, even when it's total tripe. If the heroes had as much personality as the bad guys for DC then maybe I'd be hopeful, but I'm so sick of the clean cut DC supers.

I watched the Star Wars trailer and was hyped to see it. I really hope it's good and it looks like they managed to pull it off. Everything about that trailer was just what I wanted to see. Looks like it may follow the new cast a good bit, too. "We're home" indeed.
Also, we saw plenty of the second black man in the galaxy. Meaning he's certainly going to be a major character.

The best I can say about BvS is that it didn't look terrible. But considering that every single other thing I've seen of that movie left me with nothing but dread and disdain, that probably wasn't that hard. As long as it wasn't two minutes of a flaming bag of dog crap, it was going to be better than I expected. Though, I'm convinced it's going to be some sort of convoluted nonsensical plot that makes no sense.

Star Wars. When it comes to the Force Awakened trailer, I come away excited, and very, very pleased with what I was seeing. With the Batman v Superman trailer, it looks okay at best, but I will watch it for the sole purpose of seeing if it is as bad as I think it will be.

Batman V Superman, apparently DC and Warner Bros are still afraid of anyone having fun, get ready for yet more grim dark totally serious we're making a point you guys. They really need to sit down and watch the whole DCAU series from Batman TAS all the way through to Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond, they were really good at having fun and being serious.
I was thinking the same thing. The only thing I cared about in that Batman v Superman teaser was whether or not we heard Neil deGrasse Tyson [http://www.ibtimes.com/pulse/neil-degrasse-tyson-batman-v-superman-trailer-no-comment-laugh-1886681] towards the beginning.

There's this continuing obsession from DC and Warner Bros. to go for this sorta dark, almost pseudo-dark, image. Seriously. Anyone who thinks The Dark Knight is the poster boy for gritty, dark stories has not seen much gritty, dark stuff. That's not to say it isn't dark, but come on. They don't need to copy the Marvel approach, but it's hurting them to go in this direction without putting proper thought, or at least a good team, behind it. The comic stories influencing this aren't translating well at all, which I have a feeling is due to the people behind this being fans of those stories for all the wrong reasons. While I think they were over-hyped those stories weren't bad per se. The DCAU definitely understood how to handle this very well.

Heck, here is Batman: The Animated Series doing a homage to Frank Miller as 1 of the stories kids are passing around of what they think Batman is like.
Star Wars really does win by a lot. As a longtime fan who has admittedly hardened on Star Wars over time I was incredibly meh on the first teaser. This second teaser actually piqued my interested and eroded some of my cynicism. I still think the best route for SW is to go meta on itself. My favorite SW moments are still the deconstructions and all the good that has spun off from that. It's characters like Kyle Katarn, Jolee Bindo, HK-47 and what I've heard of stories like KOTOR II (with restored content of course) that keep me interested as the rest of SW has lost some of its luster.

I couldn't help but think of one of the more piercing criticisms in the "Red Letter Media" reviews of the "prequel trilogy": that the near-constant use of "green screen" tech meant that many scenes were very constricted and staid: two people talking to each other, allegedly in a grand backdrop, but with the kind of restrictive cinematography and movement that almost suggested they were in some college's theater "black box" rather than a limitless setting.

The new "Star Wars" preview, whatever else one might say of it, actually feels like it takes place somewhere with a sense of scale, somewhere where dramatic and dynamic things can occur.

The "BvS" trailer, by comparison... seems like it's back in that black box.

Seriously, you have a character who can fly and it still feels like a constricted green-screen environment. I'd pin it on Zack Snyder, who of course revolutionized what "virtual" backdrops could do in movies like 300, but... he usually does a better job than this in making such techniques not feel claustrophobic.

...Maybe if they can get a single shot into the next trailer that occurs in the freaking daytime?

I'm all but certain to see both, but right now, Star Wars is the one that has me hopeful.

(Before someone calls me out: Yes, some of the shots in Bvs apparently take place in daytime, or at least, pre-dusk. But look at the amount of shadow, smoke, and cloud... Nothing looks like daytime.)

I only really compared the two because their trailers (actually no, not trailers, teasers) were released within 24 hours of each other.

I really like the Star Wars trailer first, but I will admit I was at first more exciting for the BvS trailer cause of one thing:
No Ben Affleck hate!!!!!! What a surprise!!! For that reason as I said before, see first then judge.
Ben Affleck's Robot Voice was sexy as f*ck man yo.

Of the two, I am defiantly more excited for Star Wars than Batman vs Superman, mostly because I have almost no faith in DC movies anymore. They are operating under the idea that dark + gritty = mature and seem almost ashamed of its sillier elements. Star wars on the other hand seems to be embracing the colorful and fantastic nature of its universe. When the Star Wars trailer ended, I was ecstatic with nostalgia. When I finished the Batman vs Superman trailer, I had flashbacks to The Dark Knight Strikes Again and All Star Batman and Robin.
