I don't mean the class. I mean the haircut. That Jean Luc Picard sides and back but bald on top haircut. If you're naturally going bald is one thing, but who outside of a 12th century Benedictine monastery would have that look?

Fallout, Dragon Age, Oblivion, even games like DCUO. Its like the developers know it's atrocious but there's some in-joke in the game-maker circles about putting it in every character builder from Saint's Row to Saint's Row the Third.

Seriously, GD's, what's with the monk? You barely even use it yourselves for NPC's, why do you keep adding it to the list?

Because it is one hair-style that doesn't do any harm.
It can't be that hard to do and if it makes 1 player happy I'm sure it is fine.

Cuz monks are hilarious. And what you said ^^^^^^

Besides, Saint Francis swinging a battle axe at soldiers, dragons and innocent peasants alike is fucking balls out awesome. Just sayin.

I can't say I use that hairstyle on my PCs... but it does give me a bit of a giggle whenever I see it on an NPC. It's an instant bit of amusement. Nothing wrong with that.

I prefer "the philosopher" but more often I go for whichever look has a top knot.

As a balding man, I would never wear my hair like that irl. Like any bald guy who still cares about his appearance I go with the only viable option. I keep it buzzed or shaved.

I shave my head with clippers and have extremely short hair in addition to balding.

I'll choose the Picard look in games because they don't have an option that otherwise looks like me.

I quite like it, but I generally only use it if I make my character like a monk.

And here I thought the thread would be about the television show. I am disappoint.

OT: I don't use it, but it's not like I mind them including it. You just know that if they didn't, someone on the internet would start a thread raging about that.

I use it on occasion for suitable characters in RPGs (for instance, my faith based characters in Demon's/Dark Souls).

Well since Monk is a common character class, it makes some sense to include it. I don't usually use it though, but I have considered once or twice.

I used that haircut for one of my New Vegas characters. I have a tendency for my characters to be older than most people's. Always have. I like the "disgruntled veteran" archetype.
