And I don't mean with just with girls. I have several guy friends who are 17 to over 20 and like it. One of them draws em'. I don't knock it but it's a might bit weird.
So, really why do guys like em.
And adding on why do you like / dislike the whole thing, and do you think it's weird that some men (don't know how big it is) like it.

OT: It's a good show that doesn't treat the target audience like idiots, and is made by a smart woman by the name of Lauren Faust, who was also involved in the making of Fosters' Home for Imaginary Friends and Powerpuff Girls.

Should have seen me back in early-mid 2010. I was first on pretty much every thread. Like, seriously, people took notice. Ask them!

Honestly, that's the only way I can describe it too. It just popped up over-night at the start of the month and now it's everywhere. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, to be honest.

But yeah, it's the new thing to like. It's sort of like how Minecraft became popular, now I think about it. Word of mouth and all that jazz.

It's as simple as the fact that it is a good show. I would say on par with Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Perhaps even better.

The show is awesome. Besides, didn't you know its marketed to your average white male college student? Little kid show? I think not!

I have never understood what is so bad about cults. You get your own uniform, the chance to chant weird things, and a fun community.

The commercials selling the toys to little girls in pink beg to differ. There was some laughs aimed at older people in it from what I saw, but most kid shows do. Usually for the sake of parents and babysitters.

Pretty much what Radoh mentioned above, as one thing Lauren Faust is great at is including humour for all ages into the shows she makes. Hell, there was one ep of Fosters' Home for Imaginary Friends that was on sarcasm, yet half the jokes made would have flown well above the target audience's head.

Seriously, give the first ep a shot. It's on youtube. You're skeptical now, but you'll be part of the herd by ep 2 or 3. That's just how it works.

It's because it's a surprise success, no one really thought anything about a new My Little Pony show and probably expected to hate it. It's such a big surprise that it gets a little more claim to fame then it normally would, also it is a really fun show.
