Poll: Whats with the My Little Pony craze?

The only thing keeping me from being a full fledged brony is the fact that I'm female.

And I don't mean with just with girls. I have several guy friends who are 17 to over 20 and like it. One of them draws em'. I don't knock it but it's a might bit weird.
So, really why do guys like em.
And adding on why do you like / dislike the whole thing, and do you think it's weird that some men (don't know how big it is) like it.

The show is awesome. Besides, didn't you know its marketed to your average white male college student? Little kid show? I think not!

It's as simple as the fact that it is a good show. I would say on par with Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Perhaps even better.

The commercials selling the toys to little girls in pink beg to differ. There was some laughs aimed at older people in it from what I saw, but most kid shows do. Usually for the sake of parents and babysitters.

I never could really pinpoint a reason "why" though

I knew that I fell in love when I saw Spike giggle at the end of "The Ticket Master", but I knew I would never escape it when they pulled that, "Huffy the Magic Dragon" line.

Oh no, it is definatly the current version I am talking about. For the hell of it I watched some of it. Still the same cheesyness as before, just animated better. Only one I liked was some orang one that was disgusted by all the hugging and rainbows. Also the dragon. Mostly because he was pointing out to the purple one how cheesy her journal entry was.

Them be fighting words. When I eventually watch it, it has a high standard to live up to now (I'm aware its by the same person though, so that makes me hopeful).

OT: I have yet to see the show, as stated above. Not really on my list of things to do, but I'm open to giving it a chance.

To answer your question, I'm assuming its a mixture of A) they enjoy the show, and B) its a show that most people wouldn't expect 20 year olds or so to enjoy, therefore its cool in a way to express said enjoyment.

I respectfully disagree. I gave something a chance because people here kept talking about how great it was, I did not watch it because it was "popular" as popular stuff won't alienate me from friends.
I am very much a closet Brony and I have never trolled in my life.

I suppose you could argue then that I'm just stupid, and I won't really argue with you on that, being my intelligence is basically undefinable on a public forum.
