Well, the target audience is females based on 90% of the cast being female and that they are expressly marketing the toys at women.

Well like I said I don't knock anything. The show though was made to target girls and theres tons of dudes evidently "these Bronys" that watch it. I think it's totally off for dudes to watch MLP but I won't say you can't.

Well I'm glad to see that you aren't actively fighting it like so many threads that have gone before you. Still, I think you should give it a go and watch an episode before dismissing it. Who knows, you might just be a Brony yourself.

And I don't mean with just with girls. I have several guy friends who are 17 to over 20 and like it. One of them draws em'. I don't knock it but it's a might bit weird.
So, really why do guys like em.
And adding on why do you like / dislike the whole thing, and do you think it's weird that some men (don't know how big it is) like it.

Slavoc, it is one of the better shows to hit television. It isn't too girly, it is something new, loveable, and so much has came out of it. I actually do enjoy the show. My girlfriend turned me on to MLP, and after seeing other MLP pages I had to take a look and I when I saw the Pony Effect 2 video I was hooked and went to the first episode to watch.

The show is actually something that cartoons have been missing all along, actual sensibility. Look back at all the great childhood toons we had like Ducktails for instance. It has humor, cleverness, and it is fun to watch. Lots of great things have came out of this on to the internet.

What can I say, a part of the internet loves My Little Pony. I joined them. The question is where you stand on it.

It's funny, it's fucking adorable and it makes me smile. I don't need to justify myself for liking it.

I had that as my desktop background for a while. It is such a great picture.

Also: I think if it weren't called My Little Pony, there would be a lot less fuss about it online. It is just like people watching Spongebob, Foster's Home (which I mentioned earlier), or Invader Zim but the fact that it is loosely based off of toys that are for little girls makes it questionable.

Ok, if you tried watching it and didn't like it then I'm not gonna argue that. It's obviously not for everyone. But, "Honestly, I think most people actually dont watch/like the show and just want to follow everyone else." is where I disagree. There is a UG on the Escapist with 190+ members in under 2 months. All of whom watch and enjoy the show.

I constantly see people acting like they like something merely to be like everyone else. So it is not far fetched to me that a mass of people would promote something so much but actually not really like it.

And honestly. I am sick of all the ponies. It may be my own inner hipster (I would be foolish to pretend I am not similar to one) but all the MLP stuff gets tiresome. But then, most memes en mass annoys me.
