Poll: what's worse,beating up a girl, or getting beat up by a girl?

Well, hitting women is not usually socially acceptable. Maybe if you didn't know it was a chick (like yesterday, I yelled at my friend Eric to get his attention "ERIC!!" I said. but then she turned around and i was like, "o shit, thats not a male") or if you were being legitamately assaulted, but i can never think of a time in my life when a female was hitting me in a way that made me want to hit her back.

Being a girl, I could be all 'we are equal in terms of strength etc etc' but that's not the case. I guess anyone beating up someone else who's weaker and smaller is kind of unacceptable, regardless of gender. And it's just funny when it's the other way around. Still, beating people up; not good. And I do think that guys are generally considered more capable of harming others, which is why it's considered bad for them to hit girls.

Getting beat up by a girl is worse in my eyes. Unless she is out of my league physically or knows a martial art, I will not lose a fight to a woman. I allow a free first shot for honor's sake, but if she takes a second shot, I treat her like an opponent, not a woman.

For the record, I treat male and female opponents the exact same.

Beating up a girl is worse. But that doesn't mean you can't defend yourself, you shouldn't be forced to take hits just because she's the opposite gender.

like Betancore said, regardless on sex/gender, beating-up anybody is bad even if they "deserve it", living up for social (society) matters can be very degrading on how far, socially advanced we have become.

there has been occasions were I had been sexist and took the violence upon one of her male peers as the female was crossing my line (not in a good way), it all ended of the male being left shaken and the female saying sorry to me. this was in School, so obeying the social laws is quite crucial

Being beat up sucks. I really don't feel any guilt for hitting either women or children. I'm not a violent or impulsive person, so they tend to come with fair warning and only when backed into a metaphorical corner.

Assuming that there is a scenerio where a girl wants to fight you and your options are to either refuse to hit her and take a beating or fighting back and hurting her I pick a middle ground. Block her attacks and try to grab her. But if that fails, punch her in the face, it would be funny and ritchous (sp).

why is it taboo to hit a girl then? if they come and attack me a good quick jab to the face can take care of that easly and your basically saying that because im a guy i should just take the abuse of some one from a woman just because shes a woman? well let me ell you something, that sounds alot like sexism to me.

a personal bit - I'm not in Huerta's league ( i never made it anywhere near professional);
but i did get kicked out of high school for trying to punch ( he ran ) a football player that had KICKED a geek girl leaning across a table; literally, across the table.
