Hmmm... I don't like to say my age... I'd rather see people take a guess at it and see how close they get...
Anyway, first gaming experience...
I was never really interested in video games until I met my step-dad, who had a Sega Megadrive and a Playstation. Ah, the memories...
Also, he got me into anime...
Mmmmm, kinda difficult to say what's your age, I would say between 17 and 24. Did I got close?

OT: I also would like people to try to guess my age, and hopefully they would get close. BTW wasn't a thread like this made a long time ago? I cannot remember though, I still hadn't joined the Escapist, so it's still nice to see some threads like this again (not including avatar threads).

I'm 29, an O.G. (Original Gamer) and it's completely evident that the majority of you are under 18. It's all good though, most of you are pretty cool kids.

i'm 15 my first gaming experience was everquest when i was about 7 or 8 i made a lot of stupid mistakes and now i can't stand everquest (i play wow now) later i got an n64 and played the ever loving crap out of it later after surviving on runescape and Pokemon for a few years i got an x-box and love the fps genre. horrible when it comes to driving in games and am to impatient to play most turn-based games (exeptions are pokemon and fall-out 1/2) love western rpgs and have wasted 125+ hours on morrowind without beating it and have beaten fable 1 and 2 a million times (always being the good guy) mind was blown when i played bioshock and am now working on my fighting game skills with virtual fighter.

I'm 15 and I started gaming on a Gameboy when I was about 7.

Then I got an Xbox and it all went uphill from there....

25 in a month! I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more people in my age group!

My first gaming experience was the NES! My brother used me to test games while he read the manual :p It was a pretty new console at the time.

Though we did have an old Mac we played on before that, even.

I'm 22 but have always looked younger. I got IDd going into "Bruno", (an R16 film,) when it was at the movies.

"Sir can I see your id?"
"You've got to be kidding me."
"Sorry sir, we're id-ing anyone 18 or younger."
"I'm 21!"

I'm 16, but I look like I'm like 20 or something. I definatly like beating the "Guess your Age" games at carnivals with it though. ;D
I'm turning 17 in July.

I'm 28, and a female. I got mistaken on forums for male (even after I changed my regular handle from "Gothbubbles" to "Cake-pie") more often than I get thought of as a kid.

In real life young 20-somethings think I'm their age. I'm like "Guys, I'm too old to date you" and they're all "You can't be much older..." when I tell them my age and he realizes through high school math that I'm a decade his senior I get cougar pick up lines. Males are strange creatures.

Online, I'm usually the right age. It's really hard to tell how old someone is out of context I think. I always thought most of the escapist's readers were closer to my age, and not closer to 18. There is a much smarter community here than in a lot of other forums.

I'm 16 and I've never been mistaken for being older in person, but personally I think I look a bit younger.

As for my first gaming experience Pokemon Blue on the Gameboy Color, and it was (and still is) great, but Star Wars Battlefront was what really got me into gaming.

I'm surprised to see people above 30 and under 13 on here though. I guess they tend to lean towards the political and gaming sections respectivly.

30 years old.
Never got mistaken for older, always younger. Much younger. I get carded when I buy smokes.
First gaming experience was when the Nintendo came out. My uncle had bought one in the first couple of months. Played Mario, and hated it (still do, don't judge) but fell in love with Duck Hunt. Begged and begged my parents for a Nintendo.

Sheesh, that was more then 20 years ago. And most of you are barely old enough to have been around when Sega made consoles!

First...I must compliment most of this younger generation on this forum. You guys and girls are very well spoken and more educated than most might think. Its only during arguments and
bad language that you can tell many here are very young. Now, I will break the ice for all
the geezers & old ladies who are afraid to speak out. My first game was Doom II on the PC. I
never had any consoles growing up because there weren't any!

August 10th...I will be 55. I am 54.
