I'm 31 years old. I was deprived of any gaming when I was a young'n. I had to get my gaming jolies off at my friends houses until I mowed enough lawns to buy an nes. My first owned game was Dragon warrior, so yeah I got hooked on rpg's way back when. God I feel old. think I'll make a bourbon now.

20, but only until November.

And I resent being put in with the 17 year olds! Hmph.

I'm often mistaken for being a lot older than I am. Someone once honestly thought I was 30, very odd. And no, I didn't correct them.

17.
Got mistaken both for 15 and 20.I guess people are not very bright.
And I've been playing games for just about as long as I can remember. First game I think I played was Prince of Persia 2. [sub](the one from... uhh 1994 I think)[/sub]

I'm 19! 20 in a few months. My posts are well thought-out when they need to be but there's nothing wrong with being silly sometimes y'know. If every single thread was serious discussion it would get pretty boring, don't you think?

I started playing games when I was about 7 or 8... 1997/1998-ish... My dad introduced me to playing games on the PC and I played Age Of Empires, Little Big Adventure 2, a Star Wars FPS, a crappy LEGO game, and Half-Life. Then eventually I got a PS2 in 2001, still wasn't really a 'gamer' though, still very casual entertainment for when I wasn't doing much else... I remember playing POP: Sands of time, and GTAIII. It wasn't until about 2003 when I really started getting into gaming, I got back into PC gaming (at first on my dad's PC, then eventually I got my own) and discovered a lot of new games and found it becoming a proper hobby. :)

Since then I've been a PC gamer.

edit: Oh yeah I think I remember having a PS1 too around the same time (1997) and playing Crash Bandicoot.

OT: My age is of nobody's concern. Although it doesn't concern me if they are concerned.

Nineteen. I look younger though, unless I grow a beard. Then I look older.
It's the opposite for me (except the beard part of course). I've been told I look a lot older then I am. Some people mistake me for a twenty year old (I'm 18 so I guess it wouldn't really make a difference that much)..
Did it occur to you that you refused to state your age in one post then did so in another?
Did it occur to you that I know that? And further more, do not care? :p
Yes, but it's still possible you didn't.

I'm just sayin'

17, Ive been gaming since the age of two(I have a picture of me playing a sega)
and as for thoughts, I try my damndest to voice my thoughts in clarity and intelligence, but I have fairly little care for grammer and punctuation, provided its legible.
If I see an obvious mistake I will edit it but I will not go out of my way to have proper spelling, its just not that important.

lolcatz typers though, they diserve a good kick to the balls.

Sixteen as of today.

The fact that the sophistication of the posts varies is not indication that the ages of those inhabiting the site are varied. That could be a factor, but its not a direct indication. Other factors could include both the general intelligence of the person you are talking to, regardless of age, as well as the mood of a particular thread.

Jebus, less than 4% of the posters here are my age or older.

Less than 30% of the posters here are even in their 20s. ~60-70% are minors.

I guess that explains all the inane list threads.

I need to find out where all the cool adults hang out. ;P Ah, who am I kidding, they're probably so saddled with parental responsibilities they don't have time to hang around boards anymore.

I'm sixteen. I'm also around 195cm (according to my learners licence) so I get mistaken for older quite alot :)

First gaming experience was on Sega Megadrive.
I cannot for the life of me remember which game however |:

Wow, I'm 26 & I serieously thought most of the people on this site would be older than me. Perhaps in that strange way that I've never met anyone under the age of 20 who's read Harry Potter or watches Spongebob.

15 here, although I seem to be mistaken for being older, at least when online (I never use voicechat, that might help).
As for when I started, lemme think...about 4 or 5, I think, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the computer (Ok, I was only holding the fire button down for my dad, it counts!) If that doesn't count, then, 5: mashing buttons on this old robot fighter game.

I'm 21, but I am often mistaken for a 16 year old, since most of my friends are over 6 foot and apparently I look quite "youthful" according to my grandparents (I'm 21, surely thats still considered youthful?) anyway, my first gaming experience was playing Super Mario allstars and Legend of Zelda: A link to the past.
