Actually, banana is a berry and so are oranges and tangerines.

My favourite fruit has to be pineapple, I eat it whenever I feel like having a snack. It tastes a lot better than candy or crisps so why would I have either of those?

My favorite is the strange and tasty hybrid fruit called a Plout [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluot] sometimes called a plumcot, but they are really very good and most have a great mix of Tart and sweet.

Screw it, I love pears. My grandfather has a couple of pear trees in the garden with the best pears ever. And pears make awesome icecream.

My grandmother use to make a pear and fig preserve that was absolutely to die for.

I love all of the above... including pears. If a pear is like a dried up sandy apple, that would be a bad pear... grown with too much sun, not enough water (I only know because I have two pear trees). Nearly all cheap supermarket pears come from sunny regions with cheap labor in my experience, so that pretty well explains that.

My favorite would be pineapple, though.

Pineapple is the greatest fruit of all time known to man. Sour, sweet, good as dessert or to compliment asian dishes. Also it looks cool and is protected by death spikes.

Grapes for me. I like most fruit, but grapes win because they cut out the con of it - they're not messy as hell to eat.

I agree, OP. Pears suck and Mangos are the best. This is a simple truth, a fact. Nobody may contradict this solitary certainty. It is the one thing I can hang on to when things look dark and I don't know where to turn to it will guide my way.

Apples. Granny Smith apples are my favorite. Crunchy, juicy and a bit sour-tasting. Delish.

Besides apples, I also like peaches, strawberries, redcurrant berries, bananas, limes, pineapples, kiwis, grapes, watermelon and so on.

You could say I just like fruit in general.

Citrus fruits (mainly variants of oranges)- messy peel, but very quenching and not too sweet.
Apple- only if red and crunchy. Has potential to be messy.
Mango- peeling is tedious, but a crunchy mango is delicious.
Banana- a nice, reliable taste, though weaker than the previous. Virtually no mess, too.
Watermelon- Very messy, very thirst quenching. The best parts are close to the rind.
Grapes- They're okay.

And pomegranates...well... points to whomever knows who said this:

I chose grapes because not only are they amazing, but if you get a bad grape, it's over fairly quick. When you get a bad apple, you're stuck with that apple for the entirety of you're fruit experience. Pineapples are my number two though.
