Poll: What's your favorite GTA game so far?

San Andreas for me. The balance between the serious and silly in story and gameplay, wide open and large map, classic rap and rock stations, and the characters and story made this the game the best in the series for me. I enjoyed everything about it (except for flying school and Zero's fucking RC missions) and its the one I replay most often.

Gta IV is second because of its overall darker and more critical story and characters alongside its darker humor and the sexy cars.

Then Vice City because of its sexy and colorful 80's style music and environment.

My personal favorite was GTA II, but I'm pretty sure that's just nostalgia. Vice City and San Andreas were pretty good too.

San Andreas was the only one I didn't like and didn't complete. There were so many good things about it (jet packs) but it was just devoid of all humor. I didn't like how it took itself uber seriously and you do have to like gangster rap unless you play with mute on. The worst bit of gameplay was having to constantly eat otherwise you loose energy and can't complete the missions. That was far more irritating than being pestered by your fat cousin wanting to go bowling.

I can totally understand San Andreas not being your favorite but were we even playing the same game?
There were about 80 radio stations and yes two of them played rap. The eating thing (though weird) never came up so much, it certainly never interrupted any missions I was on. And of all the GTAs, that's the one you think takes itself too seriously?
