Simple question, but ever since Reach came out i've been neglecting all other Halo games even Halo 1 my onece favorite game of all all the series so i just wanted to see if people are more dedicated to the old school game, and just for the record i hated Halo 2 and ODST

ODST is my favorite because it was the first one I fully got into. But give Reach and few more days and we will see what happens.

None. I hate the Halo series of games.
The story is good as a whole, but the games are underpar, overhyped shooters. With the exception of Halo Wars, which I'd say was the best and my favourite if the "none" option wasn't there.

Can I say all of them? Except Wars, of course. Playing the Halo: Reach Campaign on Legendary is awesome. It's challenging, but no Modern Warfare shenanigans. It's more like Punch-Out, where with every defeat you can better prepare yourself to overcome a specific obstacle.

I know most people are going to vehemently disagree with me on this, but ODST for me. I am not a multiplayer man. I have never once played XBox Live with Halo unless it was at a friend's house, because I do not have XBox live. The only game I really enjoy the multiplayer of is TF2, which gives me no other choice BUT multiplayer. Therefore, the shamefulness of the multiplayer in ODST is only a very minor factor. I want story. I've ready most of the Halo novels, and loved them. I've played through all the single-player campaigns, and loved them. The moment I saw ODST in the title of the game, I knew I was in for something very different story-wise. Something more akin to the novels, which I honestly thought were far superior to the games. The story did not disappoint. For me, the story was everything I was hoping for. Get to be an ODST, the most bad-ass non-Spartan people in the game? Check. Have a much darker, more intense story? Check. Although you get some emotional connection to Chief and for some even the Arbiter (most people who were Player 2 for Halo 3 like the Arbiter more than those that were Player 1 for obvious reasons), the connection to the guys in ODST is surprisingly strong for the 4th game the franchise has put out. Usually introducing new characters at that point is frowned upon, let alone basically saying "Fuck the original cast."

I haven't gotten my hands on Reach yet, so I can't say if that's better or worse. Everyone's saying better, though, so I can't wait 'til I do.

Oh, I'm not a Call of Duty guy anymore, and I always hated The Orange Box. Portal isn't the best game ever and Half-Life is a piece of shit. TF2 was mildly entertaining though, so it wasn't all bad.

I just hate pretty much all shooters now. Mindless, boring games marketed to casual players.

I've seen this exact same poll at least once before...

Anyway I have no interest in the series. It also bothers me how so many seem to think it was this landmark influential series, when there's been identical generic shooters before and after it.

I'm going to put Reach. It's definately better on the single-console-isolated-from-Live front. The whole 'your-armour-in-multiplayer-is-your-armor-in-single-player aspect is pretty damn good.

And I like Wars too.

For the sheer amout of content it has and the amazing single player, Reach. Without question.

I don't have an X-Box (360). So it's still Halo: Combat Evolved for me. I didn't like the effects and weapons in Halo 2. It took away the logic behind it.

The thing I like about Halo is the fact that you can replay it on the hardest difficulty and it'll never bore. You really feel what it's like be a badass space soldier with the ability to survive every danger with a chance of 1 : 10.000.

Halo Reach, since it's the first Halo game I've actually played online.

And firefight is fun.

I like Firefight, I like energy shields, I love customizable armor, and I thoroughly enjoy watching a city get glassed. So Reach all the way.
