So it's a simple question. which final fantasy is your favourite?
while I'm well aware there have been several of these I still wanted to ask again since Final Fantasy is my favourite gaming series of all time and I can't decide which I like most.
So get voting!
Give reasons if you want to or don't, if you've got more pressing matters, or you're just plain boring.
All the usual no flaming etc, etc

VI.

Excellent score, phenomenal (and three-dimensional) cast of characters, and a villain who is a legitimate, yet intriguing threat. It encompasses the charm, determination, and sheer heart that is hard to find in games today, and Final Fantasy VI has it in spades.

The series' send-off to the SNES may be gone, but it is far from forgotten.

VI, it had very well thought out characters, great gameplay, fantastic music and looked amazing. I can't think of a single bad thing about this game.

And if your poll can't cover all opinions (or games) don't bother making one. It's pretty pointless.

I think Eight, just for the fact it was the first final fantasy I ever played but not only that the first game I ever really got into. Before than I only kinda played games and didn't really care, but then FF8 happened and I'm the unsociable lonely geek I am today. Damn you FF8, damn you to hell.

Though, when I think about it. I haven't actually really enjoyed any of the others I've played (7,9,10,13). Well, I enjoyed 13 alot actually, but I just haven't been bothered to finish it and really that just shows bad marks against the game if it can't engage me.

Final Fantasy 9 for the win! Though 8 makes a close second. Five was pretty awesome as well...but you can't mess with Zidane and who could forget about the epic Black Waltzes especially the third Waltz. "Kufufufu!"

Here's my order (of the "modern" Final Fantasy games; by which I mean from FF7 forward) and some mini-explanations for my rankings.

1. X (best story)
2. VII (most groundbreaking)
3. XIII (most visually stunning)
4. IX (great gameplay/old-school feel)
5. XII (full disclosure: haven't finished it)
6. VIII (hate the junction system)

FFX. Because Auron was a badass, blitzball was way more fun than it had any right to be, the battle system was awesome, I legitimately fucking hate Seymour (which is a plus?), the story was great, and it was the first FF i played.

8. Out of 7 8 and 10 it had the best story, which from what I've seen is really all the FF series has going for it. Although I never did finish it. Probably a good thing because that shit was starting to get retarded.

I've finished FF's 1-7, and I'm working on the last 5,(8,9,10,12 and 13) and I still cant outright say one's better than the other, while I hold a place in my heart for 8 since its started me on this obsession of mine. Although looking back the gameplay was average at best and the story took a nose dive into a vat of pure, concentrated craziness towards the end. That and Selphie of course.

I remember how difficult it was.

I also remember that it was, in fact, a pretty good game.

IX.

It was the first FF game I ever owned. I grew up with it and fell for the quirky characters, the storyline, the strange fantasy world and the beautiful soundtrack. I can play it multiple times and never seem to grow bored of it, truly one of the classics in my book.

It wasn't difficult once you found out the right to build your characters up. Plus once you got Orlandu the difficulty was just broken, I never use him anymore, he just makes the game too easy.

Tactics was and remains my favorite. In terms of numeral games, I'll go with IX.
