I've only played TF2 and Counterstrike.

I was a bit late to the CS party. But I do like me some TF2. But in all honesty, I don't think it deserves it's title as best team based mp. When I do play it, I generally don't use teamwork unless I'm a medic. And then really it's just (find heavy and celotape self to his back.)

I've recently gotten into BF BC:2 for the PC. And I've got to say that's a million times more team orientated.

Pocket medic is a pretty fun role if your heavy/soldier/demoman isn't an idiot.


I'm a little surprised at the results though, I thought CS:S would be somewhat more popular

I honestly couldn't decide between TF2 and CS:S. I don't think L4D should count as a competitive game. Sure, it's got the Versus mode, but even still, it's a co-op focused game.

I actually like Deathmatch Classic a lot. Could you add it to the list, seeing as it IS a tribute by Valve commemorating id? But my favorite would have to be TF2.

Damn, this is a tough choice. Both TF2 and CS:S are great. Though I only play mods on CS like surfing, gun game, etc. While on TF2 I play the game mostly vanilla style the way Valve originally designed it. Guess I'll go TF2.

Team Fortress 2!

It's closely followed by Left 4 Dead 2 though. Both games are examples of brilliant design (TF2 less than L4D, since I think it was less original, borrowing heavily from earlier Quake/UT-esque FPSes).

I think part of the appeal for TF2 is the epic soundtrack.
