I work as a video editor for two small companies in Houston. Mostly I'm stuck with weddings and sweet 16s and quinceañera which gets pretty boring but sometimes I get to work on comercials or online ads. The money is ok (it pays my University tuition and a bit leftover), but the job gets very repetitive.

level 2 tech support for an internet company...
How much EXP do you need to level up?

OT: Currently filling in an application Email actually.
You have to do the dregs of the computing industry (tech support/helpdesk) for at least 3 years :p

Then if you have a shred of sanity left, you hope that one of the lvl2 quits or dies, then apply for his spot (there's usually 1 lvl2 for 15-20 regular techs :\ )
I just wish I could get into the dregs... Everywhere I go I get told "If you're not Microsoft Certified, fuck off". I've just started a long distance Law degree, which means no MC for at least a year... Damn living on an island...
I guess it depends on location, here they hire any monkey for the helpdesk at 14$/hour starting salary...the worst is that these people are actually sheet-readers, not real techs.

I work as a gatekeeper at a medical factory.
So basicly i sit on my ass and browse this site/watch tv/dvds the majority of the time.

I have to spend about 2 hours every day walkign around the factory to check if everything is okay.
Otherwise i don't really have to do much but help a few people every now and then, and make a few phone-call if theres some technical stuff that doesn't work.
And something rarely happens, we're supposed to scare bad guys away, give first aid and help teh firefighters in case of fire, but none of those things happen very often.

But the awesome part is, that about 70% of the tiem i spend at my job i can do whatever i want as long as i stay at the gatehouse.

I work mainly evening night shifts, though i'll drop the nightshifts once iøm back to school, cause working all night and going straight to school without sleep would suck big time.

I wish i could afford a good gaming labtop, so i could game while at work. Then every time some self-proclamed pro started yapping i could just tell him "Are you making money in this very moment? no? i am, who's the pro now you inbred loudmouth"

I'm at work right now btw.

I am still in school, but I am also a stage actor and I have somewhat more steady and reliable work in a costume shop, making costumes for shows in which I'm not acting (or more rarely, making my own costumes for shows in which I am acting).

I'm at college studying a BTEC National diploma for TV and film studies. It's an awesome course, plus the result is equivalent to three A levels and I don't have to do any tests just course work. Although the theory work can become a little tiresome, for example when I had to learn about coding tags, I?ve never done a more boring piece of work in my life. It was torture. However the practical filming side of the course is a lot of fun.

I'm a bartender. The money isn't great, but if it's not busy I don't have to do much more than talk to people all night.
I did that for a while when I was an undergrad and it was easily one of the most enjoyable jobs I've ever had, even though the tips were lousy.

Still in school, and will be for a long time.
Ahh. Me too. I'm going to an art school after this in two years time, so I can then fail to get a proper job and end up like 50% of people who are unemployed with rediculous qualifications.

Concept artist doesn't sound too bad.

Graduate Student

I prefer, "professional student," given that I am in for the long haul, and intend to get a doctorate and a professorship. Academics are my work.
