I've been wanting an excuse to post that for ages.

I've only met a couple of full on hipsters, but they're fucking fucking fucking annoying.
Oh my. I'd forgotten all about this video. Thanks for pulling it out. Now it shall reside on my Favorites list for all eternity.

I liked hipsters until they sold out and became mainstream, like all the other cliques.
I love this post so much.

Nothing concrete. I have a few friends who might be labeled hipsters. They're alright. I've even dated a few.

It's just the idea of hipster is so nebulous that it's gotten ridiculous. At this point, to be a hipster, I would have to enjoy something without irony because a hipster enjoying something that way would be ironic.

Well I have been called a hipster from time to time--I wear red shoes and plaid shirts occasionally--so no. People that wear skinny jeans, however, I dislike on principle.

I'm a hipster ironically. Just kidding, but I love all the memes and stuff that's popped up around the stereotypical hipster.

I'm fine with them, they dress silly and have fun.

I do however find people who hate on hipsters very VERY frustrating. I've never met a hipster that treated me unfairly, but I've had droves of people who speak at length about how "they totally would, cause the are totally into themselves."

I find it really frustrating that so many people find it humorous to judge and disgrace people based on they way they dress and the hobbies they have, then turn around and say "oh don't worry, S/he is a Hipster, you know hipsters! totally douchy!".

in short:
I find that the folks hating on the hipsters are generally less enjoyable to be around then the Hipsters they hate on.

Scott Pilgrim is not a hipster. hipsters go out of their way to make it look like they don't care. Scott literally just doesn't care. and that's why he's so great.

can't stand hipsters. as I said before, there's few things sadder than someone with so little personality that they rely on fashon trends to shape who they are. also, all real hipsters are pretentious, snobby, and hypocritical.

Live and let live. There are worse kinds of people in the world. To be honest, the kind of people who label other people hipsters all the time annoy me more then actual hipsters.

My exact thoughts on the matter. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with hipsters or being a hipster. They are just people who enjoy different things and hold different opinions than you it doesn't make them the scum of the earth like most people who hate hipsters seem to think. I've honestly only heard the term hipster being used as an insult when someone mentions that they don't like a certain band. I've been called a hipster douche just because I don't like a certain band and find their sound to be unenjoyable.

The only hipsters that deserve any hate are the ones who insist that just because they listen to obscure music it somehow makes them better than everyone else. I'm pretty thats just a gross exaggeration of a hipster. I'm friends with hipsters and I guess I could be considered a hipster depending on your definition. I never put down anyone because of the music they listen to or force "hipter" music on them.

When I'm asked what a hipster is the best I can answer is usually by directing people to [a href=http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/full-list-of-stuff-white-people-like/]This here website[/a] It pretty well encapsulates the kinds of things hipsters like. There are hipsters that are not white, they behave much like the people described on this site.

As someone who admittedly dresses a bit 'country' on some days ('punk' on the others) I have been actively teased by hipsters. Also, as a group they tend to have a need to 1-up people all the time. They also tend to be really whiny about things that aren't a big deal. At least in this town ("why are there only TWO organic food markets!?")

Really annoying.

I have met only a couple hipsters.

One is the senior Linux/Oracle systems admin for a huge software digital distribution company. He has a full beard, really long hair, wears shirts like this [http://www.toplessrobot.com/Oh_hai_there%2C_I_can_haz_ur_planet_9svStandard.png], listens to music I couldn't find if I searched google for days, drinks only the most micro of brews, and he wears a kilt all the time (even in the -10F Minnesota winters). He's actually a pretty nice guy though. I didn't even know what he did other than he worked in the computer field up until a couple of weeks ago and I've known him in passing for a few years. Not conceded at all.

The others I have met were low life retards who don't do anything but act high and mighty as if their obscure taste in things is somehow better.

The word 'hipster' is a curse word in my household.

In fact, if you're not attractive enough, you could get kicked repeatedly until you exit the premises if deemed a 'hipster'.

However, if the word is falsely used, the accuser is then kicked. It works out.

I just dislike the whole idea of mainstream/popular=bad. That doesn't make anything bad or good, take each thing on its own merits.

The whole liking things ironically just seems weird too.

Hipsters don't seem to realize that cool people don't care whether or not they're cool. Hipsters care, that's why they're not cool.

Fuck them. Pompous arrogant pricks. I know several self-announced hipsters and they're so annoying. Plastic glasses, the bullshit "I like only obscure music" attitude. They can sit on three dicks and explode.

My opinion on hipster can be summed up with this fancy comic:

It's a meaningless word that people love to throw around when someone doesn't like something.

I have honestly never run into the stereotypical "I-liked-it-before-it-was-mainstream" hipster.
i must move to your land...here they have popped up and have been multiplying like bunnies, its awful.

hipsters annoy me more than any other type of "stereotype" or type of person, they are an annoying death virus that can walk around spewing its bile everywhere.
