I chose LG just to see what the percentages were, but really, I don't believe in alignments. Still, I enjoy living in a highly peaceful, law-abiding society (Japan), and I think trying to make the world a better place is what we should all be doing...so LG, I guess.

Never played the game so i dont know how the alignments work/what they mean.

Can someone give a brief rundown for the n00bs (i.e. me) and then I'll chose.
It's a two dimensional grid, with one axis representing order/lawevil - thus resulting in 9 possibilities.

Order and chaos in that game mainly is about if you believe that certain codexes and "rules" should be respected *regardless of the circumstances* (i.e. paladin), or if you tend to "rebell" against said rules (i.e. thief). Neutral in that case means, that you either don't care and just do what currently makes sense, or that you have a very "moderate" standpoint (i.e. believing in some laws, yet considering other laws stupid). An attempt to always strengthen the currently weak side, to keep a balance, would also classify as neutral.

As for the goodevil axis: Its a big vague mess of what people consider "good" and what they consider "evil". You can pretty much take standard western morals, and get a blueprint of whats considered good and whats considered evil. Neutral here plays the same role as with law/chaos - you may note care, have your own rules that depend on circumstances, or you may be trying to always strenghten the weak side to keep balance.
Ah thank you that was very helpful. In light of this then i would say i'm somewhere between Chaotic Good and Neutral Good....so maybe Mildly Chaotic Good then?

Well, as you said, you'd be something in the middle. The system doesn't support that :)

What would happen in the game, is that the player would choose one of both, to which his char at the time seems a bit more attracted to. Then, some adventures would happen, the GM would look at the actions of the char afterwards, and if necessary do an "alignment change".

I guess you could call me a Lawful Good person in terms of alignment. I do good and I follow the laws of the land, even when surrounded by a "Chaotic" population.

The funny thing is that seems to transfer over to games with moral choices, but I won't go into too much depth with that.

Neutral with (Evil) tendencies when dealing with people;

Lawful Good when dealing with animals.

Neutral Evil. I'm willfully selfish, conniving, and I'm willing to step on people to get my way. I don't consider myself Lawful Evil because I don't willingly follow the law, I just follow it because I have to in order to get where I want to be.

Yes, I'm a bastard, but as said by Spider Jerusalem, "being a bastard works."

Neutral. I can't be arsed up to pick a side and stick with it. So much easier to cruise along the middle of the road and swerve in a random direction every now and then.
This, I'm a real nice guy 40% of the time, and a psychopath the other 40%.

The 20% is the time I spend spacing out.

I put Chaotic Good but what counts as neutral? I am a generally nice guy and help people out, but I would still step on people to advance further, use/manipulate people to gain means to an end (to a limit I wouldn't make people kill themselves or perform acts of evil), cheat etc...

Also I would do bad things if the end is a good enough reason, for example I would nuke a continent to save humanity.

Chaotic good. Don't like being ruled, but I try to be a good person towards others.

Chaotic Evil.

Why? I said that last time the topic came up, and somone majorly overreacted. It was entertaining.

I'd be lawful good. I've come to terms with the fact that I am impressionable and care about what others think of me. As a result, I tend to avoid stirring things up and prefer emotional harmony. I also enjoy helping people. I've been able to thrive in a field I dislike (law) simply because it is a nonprofit that revolves around helping those in need.

The reason I consider myself lawful even though I dislike law, is because most of the people in law have to passionately support one side and force others to see it their way. The only position I could really enjoy would be the judge, since he is the one that takes both perspectives and tries to objectively find the truth.

Neutral Good, I help those I can and I hold no real respect or disagreement toward laws.

Neutral Good. I'm very apathetic about law, but not enough to go around doing whatever I want. Plus I don't like doing evil things.
