Deist for me.

I'm pretty much Athiest, but I won't deny the possibility.

After all; what's certain besides death?

Well, there are only six slots (IIRC). Try dividing them up like this: Abrahamic (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), Dharmic (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism), Pagan (Wicca, Shamanism), Non-denominational/Agnostic, Non-religious, Atheist. There's more, that's just the ones I remember.
Because im sure the jews and muslims would just loved to be grouped together. But in this i would be Non-denominational. People should use that label more.

Taxes.
Neanderthals never had taxes.
No. Neither do some middle eastern countries, or certain South American countries that don't have personal tax, only corporate. That wasn't the point.

I was referring to a well-known quote from Benjamin Franklin, which based on your reply I'm quite sure you weren't aware of:

"Certainty? In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes."

Sorry, but it was there for the taking and I couldn't resist. :)

I know the quote, but I found it irrelevant. Mind you, I didn't know where it came from.

You learn something new every day.

I generally consider myself a hopeful Agnostic

I'd love for there to be a god

I call for a moratorium on Religion based threads, to last 3 days. Either that, or just have one large thread for the discussion of Religion. Would anybody else support this? Sorry if it's a terrible idea.

To answer your question, I am Catholic.
Oh I second your opinion of one large ass, stickied religion bases thread.
I keep suggesting a different forum for "Controversial Issues Debates" Like religion and politics, etc. Everyone agrees, but nothing ever happens.
We can make a petition the board leaders to do so. We can also ask them by making a thread.

I made a thread like this once. Then, later, it was done better. And now; this thing. Meh.

I'd prefer if we just banned religion threads all together, they all pretty much end in flame wars at one point or another. Why waste time tempting fate and just admit every religion hates the other? That way you wont get people being forced to tolerate threads they dispise being on the forums :)

Why do Hindus have to share their vote with Agnostics?
No shit. Hinduism is the 3rd largest religion in the world, yet it somehow managed not to make that list. Weird.

That doesn't make much sense... Hindus believe in & worship a plethora of different Gods & Deities whereas Agnostics are unsure if there's even one God, yet on your poll they would both have to vote for "other".
i have no idea what those religions are and because i don't know i did the 3 major religions and Buddhism, then other because im to lazy to go look up every single religion on earth
How on earth can you start a religion thread and not even know about Hinduism or Agnosticism? That's ridiculous. It's not like Hinduism is some random religion, either. It's a well-known and widely-practiced religion. It seems to me like you just want to get the "hot topic" badge. If you're going to do the same kind of thread that I see EVERY day, at least do it right. Forum rules: look up a topic before posting to see if it has been done before, and this one has been done so much, it's not even funny. Sorry that I'm being so rough, but don't post a thread and then say that you're "too lazy" to actually think about what you're posting.

Anyone else agree?

I don't follow a religion, neither would I call myself Atheist or Agnostic, but only because Atheists have a bad habit of flaming every christian they can (well it seems as such, I may have my issues with christianity, but not so much with christians) and Agnostic just seems to be a push over atheist.

Wow, looking at the choices, Slayermaster should be a peace envoy to India & Pakistan.
Uh, Pakistan is predominantly Islamic... which is on the list.

"Hello! There are about one billion of us, you know?!"
- Apu Nahas- I can't be bothered to spell the rest of his name.

Seriously, if you're going to make a thread, an (arguably) overdone thread, then you best do your research. Frankly, it reeks of you not being interested in discussion... which brings me to question the reason for this thread?
