when did officially lose your faith in humanity. i did when i was watching mtv (i was very bored at the time) i was watching this show called boiling point, and they where doing a test to see how long it would take for someone to get pissed of at the extremely fast food delivery to there tables after they ordered their food, and these people were actually getting annoyed becuase food was arriving at their tables approx. half a minute after they ordered it.

I lost my faith in humanity around the time I realised we're more mindless than most animals
Most of our thought processes are auto-matic, from combat to eating and mating... We really don't know what we're doing.

When i realised that the leaders of the government of my country consider themselves to be real christians who are looking after the interests of the people, even though inflation is officially around 300 000% (though independent estimates put it at over 1 million %), there are no longer any more functioning hospitals (leading to a massive and uncontrollable cholera outbreak), the collapse of the currency (so we now use US$), the education system, and most of the civil service. All the while these leaders, who have a high level of education, continue to blame the problems on a cobspiracy by the West, including a recent statement by one minister that the cholera was as a result of "biological warfare used by Britain."
I've gotten close, what with governments and religion etc. and it goes against my nature as a pessimist, but I just can't give up on humanity. There's always hope that we might fix the world, and start getting things right.
Probably when I was listening to a song on YouTube, that had the name of the song and the name of the band in the title. And someone still wrote "Whats this song called?"
Haven't lost it, because I don't believe in much else.
Humanity has screwed me in ways I don't think anyone on this forum can even begin to fathom but... in the end I have little else to rely on, sitting on this spinning dirtball. So feh. Call me optimistic, but if you've lost faith in your fellow man what the hell else are ya gonna do. Hermit away? Join a cult? Suicide? Because really I'm not sure what other options there are.
Then out of the blue some kind person will offer to help you with somthing small, no strings attached. I figure that's reason enough to keep the faith.
