Poll: When do you get a new Avatar?

I have been using this avatar across various sites for the past 5/6 years, and I have no intention of stopping now.

I've changed mine like four times, but have stuck with two for most of my time here. I like my current one for some reason. I don't see me changing any time soon, as I know I tend to associate people with their avatars. I got so confused when Onyx Oblivion changed his and then two or three people joined around the same time using Hypnotoad icons.

People change their avatars? Well that's annoying, no wonder I never recognise anyone. After my first choice, I never bother thinking about it again. I love the Fallout series, always have, been playing since I was a larvae and haven't been disappointed with the recent faire, so no I won't change.

Yes I've played Resident Evil 4 in space

sure it was fun but it was a bit bland and selling it on "it's scary" when it's not (it's startling for those with weaker constitutions- and scary for people that are disturbed by the grotesque) yeah it just didn't work that well

plus the character was boring as all heck, at least Leon was slightly likeable

I change mine when I get bored of whatever I have currently. Sometimes the change reflects a current interest, sometimes it doesn't. My current one is nostalgia-based.

I rarely change my avatars. I usually keep them for years at a time before I change them. (if ever)

Never. I stick with whatever I pick first, and I like it when other people do, too. Helps me remember who the fuck they are.

I tend to change when I get bored of the old ones. The ones I have had on this site are:

Alucard (from Castlevania: Symphony of the night)- That has been the longest serving avatar so far
New York Rangers logo
Minnesota Wild logo (a friend of mine wanted it to represent me for a while)
Pittsburgh Penguins logo

This current one is Vincent D'Onofrio, my favourite actor. I mentioned in a few threads that I was thinking of changing my avatar from Pittsburgh Penguins to Vincent D'Onofrio, or Detective Robert Goren (the character Vincent D'Onofrio plays in Law & Order: Criminal intent) and I really like it, so I don't think I will change it for a while, (unless I see another Vincent D'Onofrio one that I really like)
